New offerings are usually mentioned in the weekend social media/instagram. Otherwise the retail page is generally updated daily and should be ready on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning for next Wednesday's availability.

No. You can not open outside beer onsite and or in the taproom.

They're loaded up right now. You'll have a great time. Enjoy.

So they’re dropping a barrel aged stout. How long do those releases usually last?

Always the worst answer, but you never know. Last BA stout was Damon back in June, I believe. It lasted just over a week of retail days: Wednesday release to the following weekend.

I recall your trip is coming up soon, good luck.

Def won’t be getting this which sucks because I love BBA coffee stouts. I just hope something similar is there.

Well, I mentioned this previously to you, stouts ramped up over this same time frame last year. Hopefully one coincides with your trip.

Yep. The best beer I've ever had, period. Citra and Galaxy work so well together as it is, but when Hill Farmstead does it, it's just otherworldly.

Not going to argue that. It makes it to the desert island, for sure. Best beer I’ve ever had is also a HF (Blaugies): Le Sarrasin.

I don't know what that is but considering your appreciation for S&S4 I definitely want to try it.

Knowing that foliage season is starting up, what is HF like on a Thursday in early October? Thinking of making an (out of the way) pit stop on my way to visit family this coming week... thanks!

Has there been more than one batch of Le Sarrasin?

    I don’t believe so. One bottling/batch from 11/2013.

I’ll be heading there Friday (10/4) on my way from Stowe to Portland - really hoping Genealogy is still there!

What’s the average scene like after 3pm on Saturdays? Does it thin out closer to close (line)?

Saturdays, there can be a line out the door until 430. I highly suggest arriving right when they open, if that's the only day you can visit. If not, Thursday is the overall best day to go.

No reports from Zwanze Day yesterday? Wondering how it went. No comments on the Zwanze-NE thread. Saw Courtney at Schilling's on Friday, and she said it'd be all hands on deck Saturday.

It was a pretty standard day at Hill Farmstead yesterday, with some Cantillon thrown in. Bottles of Fou'Foune and Vignerone for on site. A classic geuze box set for take away. And they tapped the Zwanze keg at 3 PM. It was a busy day, but they kept the offerings low key compared to other places. I enjoyed it.

fwiw, i'm pretty sure foliage is near peak right now in northern vt. i know it's close to peak in northern NH already. Hoping all the rain this week doesn't strip the trees clean since I'm heading back to VT this weekend to hike.

Based on recent photographic evidence, Double Barrel Damon batch 3 is looming...

Pretty nicely run event. Like mentioned, on-site was Fou Foune, Vigneronne, Sara Residency #3... they had run out of Civil Disobedience #25 on-site bottles early on Friday so that wasn't around for Zwanze Day. Towards the end of the day they were running out of many on-site and to-go offerings.

Otherwise, there were periods of rain but it wasn't too cold. Even though it was busy, I would never say it was packed by Chicago standards. People were very friendly. My friends and I met a lot of nice people from all around New England. I would go to this event again.

Foliage was really good today for anyone heading up this week. Oh yeah, the beer was good too.
