Grid was slightly better, but both are outstanding.

 

I can get this beer usually about two weeks old or so, and I’m a freshness freak. I bought this specifically because it was bottled on 7/9 and I wanted to see how it ages. And it ages beautifully, taken blind I’d have no idea the age of this beer, just a very nice WC style IPA, 7.3 abv. Amarillo, Centennial, Columbus, Motueka, Pacific Gem, Warrior hops. Whew that’s a hop combo, and then it’s dry hopped with Amarillo, Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic, Motueka, Pacifico’s Jade. California Ale Yeast. Must have took years to perfect that witches brew of hops.

 

I hear that beer name and immediately think of this song.

 

I am currently in training for my last Slayer concert in November. My routine to achieve, #absforslayer, involves drinking a bunch of high ABV beers, followed by a 24-hour fast where I only eat tuna and drink water. This evening, I am planning on doing a 5-mile run, followed by sprints, then 87 burbees. This will be my last beer for today. @Livyatan1996 has just revolutionized my training plans, by introducing me to this artist from St. Louis, MO. After Slayer ends, Slayyyter will remain.

Happy Sunday, BAs! Starting with this Rochester-brewed OH beer, courtesy @thisischuck01 (ROC Showers).

 

Begs the question why do you need to train for a concert? Back in the day we’d just smoke a bit driving to the concert, take whatever we had usually something perky, and drank a lot of beer, amateurism at its best . I’m not a Dead Head, but that concert was outrageous, I’d be afraid to do that today, hell training to do that might kill one.

 

Still watching the Bill Gates documentary with Jr and drinking this.

 

Another lowish ABV beer, this one my first from Singlecut. Good stuff. I will take the other three cans with me to Camp Randall next Saturday morning. Perfect slamming-while-walking beer. Enjoying a relatively stress-free football Sunday here with the Packers already hanging-up the cleats for the week. Just need Mahomes and the rest of my fantasy team to do something magical.

 

That is certainly a good question. Nobody else trains for concerts, which is why Surly brewed a beer inspired by me, which they call One Man Moshpit.
