Curious if anyone has heard anything else about the 12 Beers of Christmas? Saw the names in the thread but curious for more detail on each brew. Less than three months out so assuming the plan is fully known at this point - but maybe not.

Hopefully the ET people running the Lambic event will do a better job than the copywriters and proofreaders did on the announcement.

Great taproom opening! The service was a little slow; they definitely need another iPad. The root beer beer floats were fun, but I think I like the cola sour much more than the root beer. Tart root beer is a little weird. Cola sour was like drinking cola gummis.

I'm always expecting the stouts to be a bit better as some editions of Double Barrel Jesus rank among my favorite stouts of all time. I had a few on draft and felt the additives were somewhat muted though came through as the beer warmed. Maybe I'm just too used to being crushed with those flavor additives though.

Why don't we just take the subway to jfk instead is an absolutely fantastic dipa, on par with the best from anybody else.

Also all the fruited sours I had were excellent. Those definitely seem to be the reason to swing by.

All in all, it's a lot like going by Grimm. It seems like a lot of the beer won't sell out on the weekend and the taproom is a great space to try the cans first before committing to a bunch as well as sample recent offerings.

TLDR: It seems like they're brewing a lot of great beer and the space is cool. It's also nearly as close to a subway station as one can get!

Great write-up @RobNewton . Very helpful and informative. I’m not busting any balls, either. There’s plenty of time for this nice thread to devolve into the shitfest that is the OH thread.

Kidding aside, I’m currently enjoying that ETNYC collab with Wren House (really great AZ brewery btw!). I’ve never had a proper rotbier before (red lager) but I’d be damned if this isn’t one of the most drinkable lagers I’ve had all year, and I’ve had a lot of drinkable lagers this year. Massive props to two craft breweries putting out a real good drinking beer instead of your typical collab, like a DDH Green Curry Milkshake TIPA with bamboo shoots & granola, aged in Tabasco barrels or whatever

I’ll wait for the green Cholula barrel-aged version. Tabasco just ain’t my cup of tea.

Oh man, I had no idea they made green Cholula. Why was I not aware of this?

But does it have a wooden cap?

Absolutely. It’s actually my favorite of their sauces. Great kick and awesome flavor. I prefer it on eggs and tacos. It’s even better on huevo rancheros.

Go on. Get it now and live!

I can make that happen for you. We've already brewed a beer with El Yucateco Black Label Reserve.

Another one of my favorites. What kind of beer is this?

    What about Melindas XXXX reserve?

Hell I’m super excited about this new style of beer revolving around hot sauce additions.

Incredible opening day yesterday. Highlight for me was being able to enjoy 3 different (very well done) pilsners and a red lager in those badass ET NYC mugs. Hope they put those up for sale soon. Looking forward to many more drunken afternoons in that beautiful taproom
