So I am pretty interested in trying this, but people are asking for way too much IMO. Do you guys think I could get this done with a Revolution very mad cow and a few locals? That's really all I'm willing to give up at this point. Thanks for the input!

    Cheers!
    Tom

Only one way to find out! People's ISOs can be pretty damn intimidating, but there are plenty of reasonable and generous BAs out there, one of whom just might be able to help you out.

    Good luck!

I have hooked quite a few people up with the beer, for quality limited releases. That's fine if you think people are asking too much, but you need to realize that this beer doesn't leave Richmond in terms of distro, and has sold out in days from the brewery and at retail stores. There are only a handful places that have less than a case left at this point, and only the beer geeks know where they are. Most importantly, it's a fantastic tasting beer. Also, you are somewhat cornering yourself by stating all you are willing to offer. If that's the case, then it's best you post an ISO and see what you get. Best of luck!

Well I know it may not be super limited, but it's also BREWERY ONLY so the fact that it isn't distributed at all should change that. Idk

In regards to very mad cow. If you want it, you need to go to revolution.

I can't believe what people are trading for a $10 locally, distro'd beer.

If Very Mad Cow is a brewery only seasonal release then it should match up pretty perfectly with GBS. GBS was $9-$12 dollars, so I assume Very Mad Cow would cost more since it is barrel aged. So if anything the GBS person would have to throw in locals to even out.

Says the guy 1.5hrs from Hill Farmstead :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe the very mad cow was $15 a bottle. I'd call it even.

Problem is, my local beer is so good I end up drinking it all

Is this really brewery only? I could swear that I saw it last December in a Richmond bottle shop

I think part of the problem is Very Mad Cow's ratings aren't as good as GBS therefore the demand is lower. IF GBS is that good, then most people will be less likely to trade it for a beer of lesser quality (per reviews). Either way, I hope you are able to set something up.

BTW, I agree with you, I do think alot many (not all) people are asking for quite a bit.

I totally agree, I'm willing to throw in a few solid locals as well. I think that should get it done. Gonna throw an ISO up soon and see what I get

It is available at shops in Richmond, but really anything available only in the city in which it is made kind of holds the same prowess as a brewery only release, IMO.

Do you happen to have anything that isn't brewery only release but may have "limited distro" and has higher rankings? If so, possibly put a list together of things you're willing to trade instead of just the Cow beer and you may have a better chance. Just a thought. Good luck!

Honest question: what was the advantage of posting this thread rather than just an ISO?

What's the advantage of posting any of these "whats my beer worth"? I wish they would ban them all. This is basically an ISO with threadshitting allowed. No offense OP, but the best way to find out what your beer is worth is posting the ISO. If it doesn'tget done, wait a week and try again. If it still doesn't get done, add to it.

I've had alot of ISO's that I thought were fair but went unanswered. Either I tried again, added to it, or gave up. I'm sure you meant well but the best way to find out your answer is to post an ISO and work from there.
