I’m fixing to do the unthinkable. UFO (Band, not X Files thing) is playing at the Grove tonight. This is their 50th Anniversary & Farewell Tour. Yes I am an old fart like some of yous. And yes I still like UFO. Since our original plan to party before the Grove gig didn’t work as planned, we are heading to Noble’s for pre party. I’m not expecting much. But it’s still gots to be better than what the Grove has to offer. Lights out in Anaheim tonight. :heavymetal::heavymetal::heavymetal::heavymetal:

Our pre party at Nobles was as expected. Not good as is “not good”. I had Nelson Showers and Tongue Tickles while my buds had something hazy-like. As mentioned R.I.P. Shower series. TT should be renamed TNT as in Tongue Not Tickles. Had taste from my buds pours of hazy’s. Nothing impressed me. They were more like sweetened OJ. Good thing they all had high ABV % to fuel us for the party across the street. Inside was not packed. We were inside from 6-7pm and half of the peeps inside were there for the UFO gig. The others looked like local leftovers hanging on to their dream park. On the 10 minute walk to the Grove I brought out 3 Revision cans for one last call before the show. Good thing I did because they didn’t have anything good at the bar. The regular Bud/Coors crap and 4-5 drafts of some sh!te from Brewheim? Now what the fuk is Brewheim? The smell of sweetness filled the inside of the Grove the entire evening. My ears are still ringing this morning. :no_mouth:

A closer walking distance to the Grove. It’s a shame they didn’t have any IPA’s on draft at the Grove. But still $12 a pour is high if you’ve never had Brewheim. I usually like to hit up Karl Strauss for food and beer and then Uber over to Green Cheek for more beers before going to the Grove. Sometimes plans just don’t work out.

Michael Schenker is doing great with his band these days. Saw him at the Grove 2 years ago or so. So different than Vinnie. But Vinnie was on fire last night. According to Phil this is his Grand Finale tour. Meaning UFO is done. Even Doctor, Doctor can’t save Nobles from Rock Bottom. Movin On.

lol Somebody on their Instagram asked about club members (oh shit did you forget about that?) getting this release and they responded "No you'll just get more IPAs because that's what you wanted from this membership". Hahahahaha. I bet this membership would be another Wild Barrel situation if it wasn't for the fact that everyone who "knows" the scene already knew how bad Noble has fallen.

I legit doubted the membership ever actually happened. I assumed it followed the way of the expansion, myths and legends.

This brings up an interesting question - have there been any releases yet? I know they keep mentioning "UnderHazor" as coming soon on various posts, but it seems that may be the first "club" beer release (club only or presale?). I thought it was interesting that multiple members responded to their comment about how they all want IPAs only stating that wasn't true and nobody had bothered to even ask that. Don't know anyone who actually joined this club (why would they), but would love to hear some details.
