I think HB needs to address this rumor. If this is the case and it doesn't say so on the label I'm avoiding HB.

 

Yeah, what's the greenness verdict--still too green or ready to go?

i've found that most of their beers, and a lot of haze in general, needs to sit.

usually 2 weeks from canning is when i open the first can because the beer is different enough to render a first opinion incomplete.

and then i've only got 2 cans left of what it's supposed to taste like!

 

Crisis averted. Operation Secure Galaxy Bowl has been green lighted.

Having my first one now, I say drink fresh. Doesn’t seem green at all to me (however, I typically prefer NEIPAs on the green side as I like the bite). But just enough bite on this to make me happy.

I’ve only had batch 2 before this, and immediately regretted that purchase. I’m happy this time around.

 

Just cracked one and I agree that it is good fresh. Doesn't taste green to me either, but I too don't mind greenness. I like the bitter finish. Also, I've only had B2 and was unimpressed. This is good.

I feel like this is 1998 and I’m at a club med and I just poured a guava/peach/watermelon juice and I’m looking for the stash of pan chocolat, briefly forgetting about my terrible sunburn.

 

Don’t sleep on skeleton cruise. This is a more tropical/fruity Dungeons, so really dang good

 

I concur in that this batch of GB is far superior to whatever that horrible mess was the previous batch. This has some good flavor. Not sure I would put it in my top 5 HB faves, but you can't go wrong with it and I unintentionally gulped this down way too quickly if that is a testament to the flavor.

 

4 weeks in, and drinking my last can of Bughouse and whoo boy is this good.

 

Your self control is impressive. That beer gives Double Grid a run for its money.

 

I loved my first can...then the next three (over three weeks) got REALLY good.

 

still have 2 bughouse and 1 double grid dude. might have to free up some space in the fridge this weekend.

grabbed galaxy bowl, always nice to revisit this one. waiting till tomorrow to crack it. doubtful ill ever reach the high that was b1 again..i had to.

on a side note, i drove past the new beer cellar in downtown Geneva today. they have the boards down and it was all lit up, looks really nice from what i could see. they were stocking the coolers. maybe a surprise opening this weekend?
