For the most part agree with what was said above. By far, the best batch of Cafe to date. Zero bitterness, low fruitiness. Lots of barrel, but least spirit heat of the three. Creamy, chocolate, coffee forward goodness. Blown away by how much I enjoyed it.

Plum is very fruity, with a strong dark chocolate backbone (to the point that it’s surprising it’s not brewed with cacao). However, I don’t find it super sweet like others, I think some may be confusing fruitiness for sweetness. But it is definitely on the sweeter side compared to Cafe and regular.

Regular is as expected (having it 3rd). Creamy body, lots of charred chocolate and vanilla. You clearly see the base in the variants. This year is definitely on another level. I’m just hoping some of you fools leave me some cans since I’ll be out of town this weekend, and tease me with stories of the draft variants I’m missing out on.

Wow these reviews of Cafe are enticing. I thought last year's was one of the better beers I had all year, hard to imagine this year's is even better.

Unfortunately they just canceled, so we'll have the Empanada bike and be cooking up the Anti-Hero brats. There's also Honey Butter, Kumas, Donerman, etc. that are walking distance.

Cafe has always been my favorite variant (as coffee stout is my favorite style in general). I was still thinking about it when I woke up this morning (which is probably a personal problem, but I digress). I recently mentioned in (I think) the Founders thread that Breakfast Stout is the near perfect coffee stout imo. This batch of Cafe is a perfect barrel aged coffee stout (up there with '10 and '12 BCBCS). It is that much better than the previous batches, and by a long shot.

EDIT: I'm really hoping they made as much as last year. If a beer this excellent is easy to get for months after release, its like a slap in the face to those who pay hundreds to get TG stouts.

I'm with you that Cafe is my favorite variant which is why I am shocked, in a good way, to hear things like this. Can't wait to try it.

That’s hilarious because there’s barely 80 people here and line is moving quickly.

I think at this point Rev has the best barrel program in the city.

Cafe is a triumph. If you liked Cafe then Super Massive was a jewel as well.

I was surprised by how much I liked plum, I heard it was really sweet, and it was kind of sweet but there was a ton of fruit there too. Very good.

Maple was VERY sweet and I liked it but 4oz was enough.

I had essentially every variant and they were all good to exceptional

    Congrats to Rev!

I got to try the Plum here locally...and I was so surprised how drinkable it was! I found it refreshing. What a fantastic beer.
