Avery Pacer IPA. First review. Excellent hazy Session IPA. Lasting fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.5% Awesome Mosaic, Azacca, Amarillo, Simcoe profile. Very vibrant, juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone for the ABV. Light residual sweetness with crisp dryness. One of the better session IPAs I've ever had. Will get again for sure. Loved the hop profile as expected. 4.03

Drinking a DIPA from Vitamin Sea, a local micro brewery in MA. The hype surrounding Vitamin Sea’s is legit! as these guys are certainly making some delicious NEIPA!

@DoctorZombies Happy to! Raised by Wolves is a double dry-hopped pale ale from Right Proper, right here in DC. I'm not exactly sure what it's "double" of (perhaps their original recipe? I know they redid their recipe 2ish years ago and it's risen in prominence in DC since) but as you can see, it's not exactly pale, more amber. It has an intense citrus and pine character both in aroma and flavor, and at 5% abv it's easy to have more than a few! It's a beer I don't buy near as often as I should.

As to the beer of the now: Another Benediktiner Festbier. A solid, if light festbier.

 

Delicious IPA from Trillium. Smooth, spicy and danky.
