Maybe it's just me but I preferred Overrated to Sleek by a significant margin. I've only had Sleek a couple of times though. Maybe worth a revisit.

And nothing says "Frost" like a session pale ale they advertise with pool floaties and flamingos. So throw that into the variety pack.

Tried Yummi Bear over the weekend. A really nice beer, but not really the beer I expected from Surly. To echo points I've seen throughout this thread, I miss Bitter Brewer, I miss Overrated, I miss beers that made Surly who they are. I'm tired of all of these new fruity/fruited IPA's they're pumping out and wish they'd may bring back one classic Surly beer each quarter or even just once a year.

    Did that get delayed/axed?

We did a run of Bitter Brewer in the Beer Hall early in 2019 and it died. We had to D/C a good portion of the kegs. It was the lowest selling offering out of the 30-some-odd beers on at the time, even when moved to 20oz pints. That beer is one that lives large in the hearts-and-minds of many, but it never really found a home at retail either on draught or in package.
Overrated, though, will see a brief return Mid-February 2020. We'll do this drop in Feb and if it does well...who knows, it could come back. Right now, it's a one-time thing.

Can't do cans, but you can have as much 13, plus a handful of other beers, as you care to sample.

That's what an outdoor smoking lounge is for. We've got you covered.

It doesn't surprise me it was a slow seller, given the style, but I have a question. Was the revival using the original recipe (one of my favorites) or the changed recipe version (NOT one of my favorites)?

It was the original OG recipe.

The other way around. Pancake Party was a prototype for Surly 13. I literally just tasted the tank beer about 30 minutes ago and it's fan-damn-tastic. I liked Pancake Party, I LOVE 13.

What about Yummi Bear. It's a fantastic West-Coast IPA release that I don't see on that list.

Did Abrasive come out a month ago and I missed it?

That sucks. BB was my favorite Surly beer, and I’m glad to have had it at the taproom when you brought it back. Mind sending me the recipe lol?

Yummi Bear is the Q4 seasonal beer listed as TBD at the time of Brand Calendar publication. It'll be around until early January 2020.

Thank you for all of your updates, Bill. Can you put in a good word to have Xtra Citra removed from the sample packs?? To give us better variety.

    It's worth a shot to ask

Oh, also, what does the outlook look like with 13? "Plenty" to go around or do we have to chase beer trucks to get a bottle?
