Looking forward to seeing what Josh has to say. Also the subtweeting of Goose :joy::rofl::joy:

I highly recommend the DDH Mosaic-Hero 4-packs if you are a fan of that specific hop and our recent approach with the Hop Butcher & Saint Errant collabs. It's very mosaic-y and *pleasantly hazy* if I can make up that term, without fatiguing the palate. Must like mosaic though.

I liked this idea and decided to give it a shot.

Some nice-looking draft only variants. Those Sanctuary ones especially.

Blackberry Finn is pretty fun. We poured that at GABF.

Finn is the one that jumped out at me, too.

I probably won't be able to make the release, but I'm pretty excited the Ashland WF is getting one of the preview events. 5pm start is perfect for "get off train after work, get loaded at event, stumble to dinner at grandparents' at 6."

Where are you seeing this list? Or is this another one of those Fight Club things I'm on the wrong side of?

Nah, we can talk about this. Posted on their website.

Hey @Veliksta1 looks like I have a preview party this go around in town. Does every venue get the same beers? If so, any word on preview party beers?

I was under the impression that all the preview parties get whatever the canned releases are. So VSOR, SJ and Strawb?

(I'm not Doug, so I apologize for answering)

I believe it will be SJ and VSOR at the preview parties. Taking a look at a couple of them anyway.

Straight Jacket and V.S.O.R. at all events. After that, each location has a different appetite/availability for more, both BA and non-BA, so it varies wildly.

For people who don't want to click on a link

Straight Jacket Barrel no. 3420 - Single Barrel - 15.5%
This sweet component Barleywine was aged for 12 months in a wondrously wet Great Lakes Distilling Single Malt Whiskey barrel. Silky smooth with moderate American oak tannin and alcohol presence, this expression of Straight Jacket is loaded with the classic strawberry Twizzler nose that inspired Strawberry Jacket.

    A Midwinter Night’s Jacket - 13.5%
Aged 12 months in High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram ex-Port barrels, this sweet component Barleywine has a supple cherry/craisin nose and a dry, spicy finish of French oak tannin and Rye Whiskey.

    Sanctuary #15 - Double Barrel V.S.O.R. - Single Barrel - 15.2%
The very last of our 2017 Ryeway to Heaven was aged for 18 months in Woodford Double Oak and an additional 18 months in a Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel. Sticky-sweet maple, spicy rye, and pronounced American oak tannin conspire to make this selection as seductively nuanced as it is staggeringly satisfying.

Sanctuary #13 - Double Barrel Old Boss DethRyed - Single Barrel - 16.4%
Give your sweet tooth a cleanse with this dry, boozy, tannic monolith. Dry component Boss Ryeway blended with a touch of dry component Deth’s Tar aged for 12 months in a WhistlePig Boss Hog Armagnac barrel and “finished” for 18 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon. Its low residual sugar content accentuates the spicy, oaky, boozy temperament.

Blackberry Finn - Double Barrel Barleywine with Blackberries - 15.7% ABV
This strong, dry English Barleywine was aged in fresh bourbon barrels for 18 months and finished in Jameson barrels for an additional 4 months. Unfermented blackberry provides delicate sweetness and acidity for balance while allowing the barrels to shine.

Blackberry Finn question...same "base" beer as Straight Jacket, or a different recipe?

I wonder if any newcomers to this thread think we're joking when we poke fun of the names of potential beers...until they see this.

    Yes, dry component Straight Jacket
Think of it as just "Sanctuary 13" as the name, with the rest just being sub-titles
