Actually, for what it's worth, i'm out of Citra Ninja as well. I only released 2 cases to the shelf, which means everyone picked up.

I totally understand this and I did not realize that Abduction sold out prior to FwB folks getting it at WLV. I guess I will just stick to South Loop Binny's for my Pipeworks fix. I do definitely like supporting Kristina and WLV, but I would rather have the FwB people get their beer.

Also, if I remember correctly, the first couple of barrel-aged bottles (Sour Smoked Porter at least) were going to just be available to FwB. Of course, this could change down the line and you have legitimate concerns.

It looks like there is more Citra Ninja on the way in any case, so no harm done. Eventually we'll all be able to pick up our brews at the Pipeworks taproom and Vav and Kristina will be unburdened from list-checking and inventory control.

I stopped into WLV Saturday afternoon and they told me the box behind the counter with Citra Ninja was reserved for FwB. That's completely understandable, but I wish I was one of the cool guys who got one anyway...

I think they did this after they realized how much Citra Ninja was being sold to non-FWB. I know they eventually put two cases behind the counter, limit 1, during the Abraxas release Friday. One of FwB's and the other for non-FwB's. I'm sure the non-FwB's bottles were immediately sold out that night.

This will definitely be a relief for all parties involved I'm sure.

just quickly to address that... anything that we for sure can't just whip up again (BA stuff) we are going to be WAY more strict about the pickup's at both stores. Probably hold the beer for 2 weeks at those stores before we even sell it to other stores, etc. It's been a bit of a clusterfuck and Abduction/CN kind of caught us by surprise (and WLV) because nothing else was selling out quite that quickly since the first release of NvU. We'll fix it... now gotta run around like crazy and do deliveries before T-Day

Not that you would know because they never ask for your name anymore. I ask for said Pipework beer and they hand it to
    me.

Holy shit is Citra Ninja great! Grabbed a bottle at Binnys Grand today and Dave said he had anther case left. Bit pricey for an IPA, but a fantastic brew.

I didn't have a chance to get to Vav's within the one week FwB deadline so sadly I missed out on CN.

I'm hoping they "whip this one up" again soon as I was really looking forward to it.

That's the burden us suburbanites face though I guess...

They cut citra from d.g binnys this time around. I was told to expect more in the near future :-).

For anyone near Norridge, Cardinal Warehouse had about 2 cases of Citra Ninja in their cooler when I picked up my bottle ($10.99 each). My local stores either sold out immediately or didn't receive any so I drove to Norridge. Really glad I did though, it was well worth the short trip.

    Great job as always Pipeworks.

I hope Citra Ninja stays in bottles for a while, I haven't gotten to try it yet. I am not about to go across town to track it down, but I will definitely get one the next chance I get. Dare I ask... Double Citra in bottles?

It's already 9.5%, I think bumping it up much more would overpower the hops too much.

I could be wrong, but he may have been asking if it is as good as Double Citra from Hill Farmstead, in bottle form.
