Zero. You don't need to line up until 3:55 if you've got a stroller.

It’ll be a good sweat. Hope there’s plenty.

I thought the cafe, tar, and plums lasted well into the evening last time.

They lasted days after I'm pretty sure.

I do think VSOJ last year sold out the quickest though, so it's possible VSOR sells out today. No clue.

All of these beers are still available I believe but they aren’t VSOR.

I had considered offering up my 100 Rev Gift card for a 4 pack of VSOR, but I've never had Ryeway, so I don't even know what to expect out of VSOR. On that note, I've only had 1 rye beer (not rye BA, was a Rye-style barleywine) that I know of, and i...do not have any interest in drinking it again, although it was worth a try. Interesting, just not for me, although well done.

Perhaps we need to consider learned behavior and what we are teaching our kids by using them to get to the front of the line attesting to this live footage shot from the line today:

VSOR isn't VSOJ, though. And I think that lasted till like 6 or 7 last year. I think I left the tap house around 6 and it hadn't sold out yet.

In general I don't care, but people lining up super early creates hysteria (strong word for it; FOMO if you'd like), which makes people who were planning on lining up later line up earlier than they would've, and then it's a vicious cycle. I just don't like unnecessary lines, because they ruin everyone's time. What defines a "necessary line?" Who the hell knows.
VSOR is nice and viscous, and rye-forward. With that said, if you had a decent ryewine that you didn't really like, I wouldn't recommend it. I think VSOR is a better beer than Straight Jacket, but I like SJ more, if that makes sense. I get the feeling that you have to really be into rye to get the full experience with VSOR.

I think so far this year it's Deth's Tar > SJ > VSOR for me (I've had no variants).

Thanks. Yea - I like Rye as a spirit, I like it in Mixed drinks, and I like it as a BA complement to a stout. But as a barleywine-style ale? Nada. It had a weird spiciness to it that...was not my jam. It's not to say it was bad - it was fine - it just wasn't for me. Kind of like when I tried Regal Rye (BCBS). I can tell it was done well, but I pretty much had no interest in drinking a second after I opened one. And, I mean ever.

Yeah, I was relieved that it didn't blow me away like VSOJ, because I can't make the release today, and it'll inevitably sell out. With that said, fans of rye beers and Ryeway in specific are going to be very happy.

I can guarantee you the people lining up for BA Pajamas today are not in a necessary line.

Interesting to hear your thoughts on VSOR, it dampens my excitement for it a bit. I much prefer bourbon to rye.

Yeah I love Ryeway and VSOR was awesome based on the pour I had at FoBAB.

FWIW @Veliksta1 has said it's a maple bomb without having maple as an adjunct.

I maintain that I'd love to try a couple cans if anyone ends up feeling like they do not want their whole allotment , but if it's anything like VSOJ in terms of demand, I suspect that won't come easy.

    The maple part sounds great.
