This release was awesome. Wasn't able to purchase 10am due to that weird thing "work".

But come 12:30 there's still availability for the basic 2x Benthic. If there wasn't availability oh, well no big deal. Overall, very very nice and simple process.

They must’ve produced a TON. Every single on-line sale I’ve participated has sold out in literally seconds. Even option C lasted over 5mins

I told you guys this would be more available than you think  Once you get to this price point per can, a large percentage of people are going to pass in this market.

Glad people appear to be pleased, that's killah.

Also can't wait to drink Benthic with people after my shift on the 22nd, I love this beer!

Drinking the VSOP Orin now, unique stout. Lots of flavors from this pour, blends well. Thinner than expected but taste makes up for it. Caramel nice, vanilla lingers behind, balanced though edges sweet. Taste somewhat like a Barleywine. Debating the Nitro vs. English Bitter before ending the evening in pajamas at Begyle.

Bottle / can releases quite pricy across the board this year, will have draft Bethnic pours on release day.

Profile image checks out. I'd say pretty solid.

That’s because Orin isn’t a stout. It’s a brown/strong ale that’s barrel aged, therefore it’s going to be thinner than an imperial stout (in most cases).

With that said, your tasting notes are on point and I always love Orin. I’ve preferred it over Benthic over the years, but brown/strong ales don’t get the hype treatment so it tends to stick around and be available longer.

Thanks, makes sense. Never had Orin before, agreed this one very good. Bottles and both draft versions (Nitro and VSOP) remain available at Balmoral. The Bitter was OK, should have went with the Nitro Orin.

Had the Churro Imperial Pajamas at Begyle as well, wanted the coffee variant but it was sold out from earlier today (as was the verticle). Plenty of Imperial Pajama bottles available.

Opened a 2017 Orin last night. Shouldn't have held onto it that long, and no idea why I did. Just past it's prime I think. This year's is incredible though. No doubt about that. Would love to try a nitro version of it.

LOL. A store I was at here locally this week had 2017 and 2018 Pajama Pants still on the shelf. Wait a few weeks and you'll have a 3 year vertical to buy.

Truth be told I used to love shotgunning. But I hung my hat after gunnin' a Navaja in under 3 seconds. I felt real funny after that one.
Plus I'm nearly 40 now, blablahblah.

Drinking Double Barrel now. Good barrel character still though the adjuncts aren’t really popping. Really good now, but it was better last year fresh. I guess it’s worth making an effort to drink Benthic fresh intentionally

Yeah, I'd personally always drink any beer fresh in which one of the main selling points is the strength of flavor of the additives. Coconut in particular is one of my main "drink now" flavors (is is orange, after BCBS Midnight Orange).

I had a regular 2018 Benthic last night, and it still had plenty of creamy coconut to it, but I'm only willing to take that risk when I have a bunch of the same beer.

Turns out I didn’t need 5-6 bombers at Benthic Day last year....

It's such a 2019 problem that I'm looking at my last Benthic bomber like "this is too much beer." I used to slam bottles of Dark Lord, and now I'm trying to give away pours of a beer I vastly prefer.

Yeah, the days of hording bottles make much less sense now that these beers show up multiple times throughout the year at the brewery and at bars and fests, etc. Gone are the days when you had to get bottles of a BA stout at a release because that was the only chance to try it you would get. Plus there are just soooo many BA Beers to try.
It just makes more sense to have this stuff on draft now- price is cheaper and I don't need to drink 12oz/16oz/+ of the same BA beer in one sitting.

I couldn't get online for the release until about 10:05, and tried to check out with Option C but by time I entered payment info, it was gone. So, I was able to get Option B. I'm pretty bummed to miss out on the additional variants, especially since I've been super early in line for every Benthic release thus far. Since I'm out of town on the 22nd for the release party, I'll just have to try and hold some friends hostage that did get the variants and have them share with me.

This has been my New Year's resolution for the past few years running.

Then I go down to my basement and realize I done screwed up again!

A friend of mine with a quarter as many bottles as me is sitting out Black Friday for the first time this year. And he said he was doing this even before he lucked into three Prop Day allotments! #Help #Please
