All new beers to me from some places I always love, and one new brewery tick too! luckily it’s been cold here so that mystery beer should be ready soon. Thanks @CanConPhilly this is awesome, and you should be ready for return fire around the first of the month...

the only clue is low abv

So off the bat I’m thinking something from sixpoint, cuz of the can shape. Appearance is soft, slightly cloudy yellow color with a good amount of off white head. Smell is very lager-like, slightly slinky. At this point I’m thinking lager, maybe Pilsner. Crisp, clean, with a hint of.... something else that I can’t put my finger on right now. And with the taste it’s obvious that smell I couldn’t pinpoint was smoke. It’s a little bacon-y. Very smoked meat-y taste. Like drinking a bonfire. I dig it. Mouthfeel is just beneath medium but nowhere near watery. Overall I like it quite a bit. Very nice change of pace, but if you don’t like smoked beers then you should press skip on this one.

Cheers JT! That’s the single-origin coffee Only Void btw. Funny story, I picked that can third overall in our can draft last weekend (provided by @bl00 ), but then noticed it on your wants when packing the box so ended up saying fuck it and including it.

Also feel free to drain pour the mystery beer after a sips if you can’t stomach it.

Also opened up a mystery brew from @r0rschach

pours an interesting color for 16%. Aroma, my first instinct is mint, herbal, not boozy like I was expecting from this ABV.

I’m definitely getting a minty/herbal flavor. I get a hint of cough syrup.
Can tell it’s got a kick to it, but I can’t pinpoint a spirit. Reminds me a bit of a cocktail. A little sweetness and a bit syrupy mouthfeel.
Puzzling.

Really cool can, image can’t capture it too well.
The beer was an adventure. I’m gonna drink it, but not sure I’d buy some more!

I definitely got mint, not exactly menthol. And not sure i know what squid ink tastes like.

Squid ink and menthol? That sounds oddly intriguing. Also seems worth it just for the bad ass can.
