Double Galaxy is significantly better now than it was 3 weeks ago. Very nice

 

CD 27 is outstanding. One of the best I've had in quite some time.

 

Heading to HF for my first time later this week. So if they have yet to post any release info for this week does that mean I have to hope whatever was released last week will last? Or maybe they will post release info tomorrow or Tuesday?

Correct. New releases/additions for bottles/cans are normally posted on Saturday through Instagram. Nothing was posted this weekend.

A possible change could be additions to the draft list. Otherwise, availability posted on the retail page should be how it stays to start the Wednesday retail week.

Was planning on Friday but may now try to get there Thursday. Would love to get some Mary and S&S 4 as well.

 

How busy do some of your regulars think next Wednesday will be (day before Thanksgiving) ?

 

It’s usually one of the busiest days of the year. Not as bad as anniversary week, FOFA Friday, or Columbus Day weekend though.

 

Its also worth noting, that this time of year when it slows down, they will silently put vintage offerings out at 1pp. I believe I saw some post that Juicy was there last week. Thursday is the slow day up there, and would be the day they likely put those out.

I've only ever seen random vintage releases during the Anniversary week. But they had Juicy magnums one day last week. This is the same way they usually release magnums...always random and usually only about 20 or so. But to your point, magnums are usually only available on slower days, but that's not always the case (pretty sure there were mags the morning of the Damon FBV release).

 

So in this case, when will we know what they will have on this coming Saturday the 23rd, for example?

I feel like every week last winter they had a vintage box set on that counter. If you go back to the first pages of this thread lots of mentions of the stuff they were putting out.

Not always HFS stuff, I was lucky to snag a set of Tilquin Oud Mure '15/'16/'17 up there on one of my trips. But they were loading up these boxes all winter.


That was the set I went home with one day. But it was generally HFS offerings. That was the frist week of the last E. release

 

Retail list is updated daily either at close of day and or right before open the next day. So, I would check Friday night, after close, or on your travels Saturday before open-if you have a copilot.

If you're referring to the social media posts that come out on Saturday, that is for availability the following week, Wednesday.

 

A friend of mine was there on Thursday and they had Magnums of Juicy.

 

Yeah, they had CD15 mags at the Damon FBV release.

One of my funniest Hill memories is during anniversary week seeing everyone buzzing before open about possible vintages to go and walking in to see.....CD Citrus available. It was hysterical.

 

@WTCrane I completely forgot about the boxes. Very true. I also got the Tilquin Mure box. Only one I was lucky to grab.
