I'm looking at going up to Oakland Sat, but not 100% yet. Fou Foune and LPK is being offered as well.

Do you seriously want to try to have a bottle share in the middle of downtown Oakland? You do realize that there's a huge police complex a block away, right? That's not going to happen.

I'll definitely be there, not sure what time. Stanford hosting the PAC-12 championship the night before isn't the best timing, might be a late night.

Maybe he thought people just break out bottle shares on public streets like Oaktown bums do

I'll plan on being there early - just not sure yet whether plain early or stoopid early. Good thing there's a Charbucks next door.

I should be there at some point in the morning but I doubt I'll be getting there any time too early unless I spend the night close by.

I'm looking forward to this Zwanze after missing out last year at Russian River.

To all the Zwanze Day veterans:

This is going to be my first time attending Zwanze Day...I am just wondering what time should I get into the line. how crazy can this thing get?

I've heard horrible stories about the lines for the SF Toronado 25th anniversary fest back in agust...yet for PTY, I arrived Russian River at 10:25am and had absolutely no problem being the first waves of crowd to get in.

The Toronado line wasn't insane, in terms of how early one had to get there (excepting one BA-er who proudly posted about camping out overnight in his car...) - I got there 9-something, I think, and had a reasonable spot in line (though I was sadly a bit slow on the uptake once I got inside to realize that the bottles were on sale in the back room...:slight_frown:). Late-showing "friends" of peeps nearer to the front of the line, though...let's just say the line looked a bit "swollen" at the front by the time the doors opened. I'd like to hope that won't happen here, but I'm a pessimist and cynic by nature, so of course it'll happen. Ergo, show up as early as you think is remotely rational.

I'm going to try to make it, but not sure how early I'll want to stand in line.

I'll be there as well. I went to Stone last year (or the year before, i forget) but they did the ticket system so there was no need for some ridiculous Black Friday style camping out. As huadog said, what time is early?

No one's saying a time because "early" is "earlier than you other assholes". It doesn't really make sense to divulge what time I actually intend to be there, since then you can plan to be there before me.

So how about we all just line up at 11? I'll bust some Prisoner's Dilemma on your punk asses.

Fair enough. I agree with Levi - game theory references should be applied more often to beer scenarios.

If we assume that arrivals happen according to a poisson process, with lambda = 0.5(1 arrival every two minutes), that the bar has 50 spots available, and that people start arriving at 9AM, arriving at 10:17 gives you a 95% chance of arriving in time to get a spot.

Hey....as a pround veteran of T25, Beat5, PTY, Ffac, Supplication 3L, and Churchill's sour fest...I just want to bring up one thing...

NEVER stand in line only to have 10 of your closest friends/ relatives show up to cut in line at the last minute. Many people get up early to get inline and get the items they need. They can get up early and wait in line just like the rest of them..
