Is it silly to think that they're gonna offer pizza one day considering the name of their brewery is Slice Beer Co?

Not a fan of the lame soda pop name. But if homeboy brews good shit fuck it.

    ????? See above posts....

It has NOTHING to do with soda pop.... It is part owned by a PIZZA restaurant.

With all the dumb brewery names out there...... Really a non-factor. I am just there for the beer.

Anyone know if outside food is currently allowed? I don't mind bringing over pizza from next door...

Maybe I'm wrong but I assumed part of the branding comes from the fact Zack is into turntables and scratching from what he's posted on social media before. Seems all the branding is based off that x the pizza connection x beer. I thought "Heavily Rotated" & "Culture of Fresh" and the record like logos made that clear. With the amount of breweries across the country, choosing a name can't be easy these days.

Looks like the Cellarmaker (SF) guys are at Slice Beer Co today for another collaboration.

The first Collab they did "Board of Crustees" was very good. [IMG]

Get ready for another PIZZA related name...haha!

    Outside food is allowed.

    Local nearby food options:
OTP has pizza by the slice to-go a few feet away
    Los Gallos Taqueria
    Lincoln Chinese
    Mi Pueblito Taqueria
    El Portal Taqueria

Keep in mind, Lincoln is a very small suburb......

... and for you Bay Area folks, Cellarmaker House of Pizza is hosting Slice's beer lineup today.

I get what you are saying, but it is what it is with the owner split.

Really I only care about the beer. I am sure Zach F didn't care about Moonraker Sailing ships at his last place.....

To be fair, the only Pizza related beer names are the 2 Collabs with Cellarmaker(Pizza), The other 6 core beers have random names. OJ, Green Nugget, Hand Candy, Multiple Dimensions, Of the People, Oh wow.

Actually all this talk.....has me thinking about pizza for lunch...haha....

I get what you are saying also. The hardcore, beer-only people are a very small minority. Most people really are swayed by branding (lots of both research-driven and anecdotal evidence backs this up). I'm looking at this more from the brewer's perspective, as I can really relate here. Having your branding handed down from above is a tough reality.

I found a pic of the pizza on their IG account. Looks like it’s a doughy California style. Was hoping for more of a thinner, New York style but I guess that’s sort of hard to come by.

Went back out to SLICE this past weekend on Sat night. I agree, the Green Nugget was a great WC IPA.

A few others in our group also liked the Hard Candy (Coconut/Hazy) IPA.
