Going to stop by after work today. I'm afraid of how busy it might be, but oh well. If I can get pours of Fou and LPK, I will be a happy man.

Whoever goes needs to try the De La Senne Tripel. Had it last week in Brussels and it’s stellar. Also, Fou Foune ‘18 was definitely one of the best Cantillon I had during the trip.

Is the Cantillon all bottles? If they have taps... holy shit I'm racing over there from work. Not that I wasn't already.

Shows it as being on draft. The Lou Pepe Kriek was very good but Fou Foune is better, IMO.

Here now. Prices aren't crazy .Swish is $9 for a 13oz. Cask pours are $8 or $9 for what looks like a 20oz Nordic pint. Other Half are $8 for a 13oz. Cool spot for sure.

Also here. Would point out they seem to be having “some issues” with some lines. When I asked for BA Abraxas that was the response. I thought it had kicked but when I asked about all the beers not available she had a laundry list that included several pilsners and black ops. So presumably legitimate teething/technical issues (also took ages for them to pour the beer even though it’s not busy). Still - cool spot and main thing is I got my Jarl!

The Jarl gets an A for freshness but a C for the way they handled the hand pull

lastly - first time at this new development. Some pretty awesome stuff (not beer related)

NRG has some ins with Sheldon and always seems to have a steady log of bottles. This probably isn't a just for opening type of thing. Furthermore, they do "sour" events down here at The Sovereign. Usually, stars one of the lambic breweries. Could see them doing that up there too.

They have a pretty awesome bottle list. But lose a point for no prices

edit - but gain a point for Jarl being in a proper pint glass (which by the look of it is also an imperial pint)

I know my post was long. Buried in there is “not busy”. Seats at bar are 2/3 taken. Only about 1/4 of the tables being used

people who are coming after work will be fine at this rate. As long as they get these lines set up (they’re still screwing tap handles into the wall)

Damn that list is bonkers, had Fou Foune on cask in Denmark last weekend and it was sublime, very tempting to make a trip out there.

Still no Abraxas but they’ve finished screwing all the tap handles into the wall and promise it will be on “by the end of the day”. From a karma perspective I almost think it’s just given that I’m very close to lineboi territory by showing up at noon on the first day

Sure, Greg has the familiarity with connections, but is lacking here:

Considering NRG’s new parameter, and collaboration with Bierstadt (also on tap)…where is the Suarez pin

I promise I won’t post in here again

but final update. Got outside and realized I’d forgotten my umbrella. Went back and they’d just tapped BA Abraxas so got to try it in the end. Moral of the story - be a lineboi
