My wife found it at the Shell station on FM528. She said the owner was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I was in Houston on Friday and went to get a growler fill @ WF on Montrose and went to the Spec's on Smith after that and was disappointed I didn't see any Narwhal on the shelves. Plenty of Hoptimum though... :\

Haven't seen Narwhal in Austin yet, but I was able to pick up some Celebration when we were at Target tonight.

    Target on the ball!

I'm having a pint right now at Bohemeo's on Telephone Rd. They have a small selection of craft beer, right now they also have Endeavour, Hopadillo, Narwhal, Rahr Bucking Bock and No Label Black Wit-O.

I think the Specs on Kirkwood/Westheimer still has it.

Any truth to this beer being the "released" version of the empire strikes black?

I finally found this one in Austin at Live Oak Market... drinking one now*. Fantastic! They were a bit pricey, but I used my Small Business Saturday $25 Amex credit to get it for free with some other beer.

I don't know if I hadn't seen it anywhere or if I just wasn't paying attention.

*don't try this at home, I work overnights professionally.

I work overnight professionally as well, drinking before sleeping just makes my bladder almost burst about 10:30 AM.

By the way, anyone wondering, I saw this at downtown specs and DQ

Many years of drinking at 7AM have made this go away. I have worked as an overnight hotel manager for about 4 years now in Downtown Austin and before that for about 2 years in Florida. You go to Hilton College, right? You workin' as a Night Auditor? My girlfriend was doing that job for about a year and it almost killed her, so, she is understanding.

If someone made a thread with regards to bars open with craft beer on tap at 7:00AM, I'd be a #1 source (yes, there are).

lol sweet, in regards to 7 AM.

But nah, I work at an oil refinery. I don't think anyone else there knows what craft beer is.

You might be suprised. I find many a craft beer drinker in the Biker community. Not sayin that oil men are like bikers, but ...well they are sorta LOL

Completely agree. Maybe, with age, the Narwhal will improve, but it didn't live up to it's hype.
