Sorry if this has already been addressed in an earlier post, but has anyone heard anything about a BA release this fall? Any Family and Friends get an email with any information?

Well, damn it. Per their email: "Single 16 oz cans | 9.5% ABV"

No word on any BA releases in a while.

Hmm, not according to Binny's. And their twitter shows the plastic carrier on the cans!?! Maybe an email typo? We'll find out soon I guess.

I did end up trying Your Brain on Brunch and really enjoyed it. It was quite sweet but I'm a sucker for maple stouts and this one was really well incorporated and smooth. Very nice beer.

I picked one up as well. Waiting until Thanksgiving to try it. I love maple stouts, but hoping that it's not too sweet and there is some balance.

It could have something to do with the issues from last year and them wanting to make sure whatever they release will be good. In the email I got, they said they were redoing their whole barrel aging, packaging, and cellaring process. This combined with the 18 month aging time that was on the last batch of the Dog releases could mean we have to wait a bit longer if they are still doing 18 months for aging.

As an aside, I opened a Cognac Jones Dog last night and it was great. I think time has helped that beer out a bunch as I remember it being H O T hot when it was fresh.

I heard from a VERY good source* that everything barrel-aged and amazing is being held back for an early spring opening of their brewpub by six corners. I am extremely excited.

Which 6 corners? Logan? Wicker? Avondale?

There are two adjoining empty spaces that used to be Tavern and Cafe Absinthe on the northeast corner of North and Damen.. Maybe that's the spot.

Also i have no inside info and know im just adding to the rumors.

You would be getting involved with strangers at a Benthic release ...

Did this source confirm that the plan for the building at Logan and California been abandoned?

If true, great move by Pipeworks considering there just isn't a lot of craft beer in that area. For how much foot traffic there is, there's Piece and not much else.

yeah - Marz is opening up a spot by Margie’s Candies, I believe.

re: Logan & California, that’s what I had heard previously, too. I was surprised when he said it would be close to Links, but I confirmed the cross streets.

Now, when someone has several glasses of high ABV / high adjunct stout in front of them at 11a on a workday, who knows?

@NOTpipeworks - care to stoke the flames and/or organize an elite BA preview party rager where entry is granted only if you dress up like a ninja, unicorn, or brewery cat?

Assuming this is the one on Western Ave, not Montrose? And why couldn't they have done this 4 years ago when I had interest in Marz before I branded them an out of the way brewery charging prices way above their superior competitors.

Aren't they going into the 3545 Armitage space? Whoever is in there has to be getting close based on the building permits issued.

Now that you posted this, I'm convinced there isn't an actual source. You just grabbed a can of NVU at some point and were just talking to the Unicorn.
