OK. Yes, they get their shipments on Black Friday, and the folks in our store mentioned a second wave was expected the following Monday or Tuesday, but all of that probably varies by area.

I take it you mean for high price. Holy crap. Around here last year, regular varied from $8.90 (Costco) to $13. Most variants were $21 to $23, though I got Wheatwine for $11 at one store. I suspect prices won't be much different this year unless Goose Island jacked them way up.

The Perfect Pour in Elkridge Maryland (a suburb of Baltimore) has long prided themselves on having some of the highest prices around, but I'm pretty sure even they can't touch Top Hops' prices. Very, very impressive.

Dawson's in Severna Park has them on Regular (19.99) and Reserve Rye (39.99). Cheri and Cafe were both 29.99

Somewhat glad I don’t have to worry about pricing. It’s so scarce in Michigan, I won’t see it. If you are not at the store when it gets delivered, you won’t. Unless something changes this year.

It may be a ripoff, but in PA I don't think anyone except maybe Giant Eagle is getting close to that price. Most bottleshops will likely be right around that $20 mark for regular and a few bucks more for variants.

If I did see it for $20 per bottle, I would let it stay on the shelf.

Usually I see the regular go for around $10.99 to $12 bucks a bottle. I think we still have regular sitting around town from 2018. Variants going for around $18.99-$22 bucks on average.
Looking forward to snagging some new stock to go with my others from years past, always a solid beer in my eyes.
    Cheers

Regular around here sits for months and months and months for $10.99. Crazy the variation in availability and hype by area.

Until last year, regular stayed on the shelf here for a few hours max, gone from some stores in minutes. Last year we got variants for the first time, and folks generally panned regular. It sat on shelves for weeks. Then over the summer, some cases of 2015 through 2018 showed up, and some of those are still on the shelves. With variants hitting more markets starting last year, I wonder if they've shifted production more towards variants? Hopefully it reaches even more markets this year.

Very curious to see how the release plays out in FOMO-obsessed northern New England. I had a bottle of 2018 BCBS last night and it was amazing.

I had an '18 a couple nights ago, and I agree. Since around 2012, I've picked up 3-4 bottles of the reg. per year to drink at different time intervals, and it seems like it's optimal after one year.

2017 and 2018 have been awesome. Fresh and aged have tasted fantastic to me, I am excited to get some new stock and enjoy and also age some. I love when the bottles sit a little and drop to 10 bucks, then I snag a pile and have a nice surplus to enjoy thru year.
    Cheers

Same, I want to say my shop up street has bottles sitting around that price. Then I read here on other states and its gone immediately, so weird how we have this variance.

Bet it disappears faster where there is no variant distribution to distract buyers. Maybe regular should drop a few weeks after variants, so they don't compete. Or have several drops throughout the year, letting it run out for a while before restocking. They could still brew and package once a year, just drop it multiple times.

I may have spoke too soon. Just saw 2019 regular ranging from $13.99-$16.99 in Pgh. Will likely be lower at Giant Eagles on Friday
