Well, I've never been to England, but I kinda like the Beatles. I've never had the pleasure of drinking a fresh cask-conditioned ale in a Liverpool pub, so I've had to settle for the canned/bottled beer sent here from across the Pond. My favorite? Fuller's 1845. Y'alls?

I've practically been a JW Lees' rep on here recently, so...JW Lees' Harvest Ale. Honorable mention to Meantime Naval College Old Porter, Coniston's Bluebird Bitter, and Thornbridge Bracia.

    Fuller's Vintage
Any of the JW Lees variations
    Any Ola Dubh variation
    Traquair House Ale and Jacobite

What I have had cask conditioned across the pond:

    Adnams Broadside
    Fuller's London Pride

    Orkney Dark Island
    Deeside Talorcan Stout
    Ossian
And a bunch of others I know I am forgetting

Right now it's Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome.
I also enjoy Fuller's 1845, ESB, Belhaven Wee Heavy and fresh Innis & Gunn (from a unopened case) throughout the year.

Olde Suffolk, Thekston's Old Peculiar, Wychwood Hobgoblin and St. Peter's Old Style Porter to name a few. The UK comes in a close second next to Belgium for making the best beer in the world....in my opinion of course.

Anything from thornbridge (ESP. Jaipur ipa) ... Anything from dark star (ESP. Hophead and fresh hop)...Fullers chiswick, Bengal lancer, and black cab stout, AND London Porter (on cask if I can find it)... Brodies kiwi and citra...

When I'm in the UK, I tend to stick to cask offerings...don't see the point in drinking bottles when countries have a burgeoning craft cask scene that's amazing...

I was a little disappointed with that one. It's not that I disliked it, I just thought it could have been better for such a good brewery.

In terms of what we can get here, Fuller's 1845, Vintage Ale, and the recent reincarnation of Courage Russian Imperial Stout are all excellent.

In England, my favorites are Black Sheep Riggwelter, Special Ale, and Best Bitter, as well as Wylam Angel.

Oops. I thought this was a thread about what beers you drink when watching University of Kentucky basketball games. Sorry.

Was a big fan of cask Thornbridge Kipling. Chiswick Bitter as well. Don't really drink much of anything from the UK that gets sent to the US as it's never fresh enough to be worth drinking.

Bateman's XXXB- but don't drink it too cold. Or slowly. Too bad it's priced so high, because it's such a fab quaff- great yeast sig on that one.

FWIW- in the States, Yards is doing a bang-up job of making Brit-style beers that are way more affordable.
