I vacillate on this too. My big 3 for OH are DDH ACE, DDH Mylar and DDH SD. Going to put DDH SD at 3, 1 and 2 vary for me.

Damn that actually sounds pretty interesting for a triple. $24 though. Do I lube up for this or no. Decisions decisions.

Hop goo? sorry, but that looks pretty gross. Any of you see the south park episode where the 'there will be blood' character tries to sell his goo across the country to replace actual food? that's what this reminds me of.

OH once again dropping a HBO collab on a day I can't make it down there. Any chance someone could snag an extra four pack for me? Happy to return the favor in the future.

looks like Monkish and Cellermaker releasing their own versions of the collab as well, seem to all be hopped differently.

If a $24 10% causes anything to sell out faster, then we get what we deserve. I'm getting pretty close to OH retirement myself. I've had one 4 pack the past 3 months and didn't really miss it. So many other breweries are catching up in quality and I'm not willing to keep up with the hike in % and $.

I too have less and less room for OH lately- too much good shit coming out of other areas and way too easy to trade. I'm finding myself skipping retail for most releases because of something else exciting I have coming to me.

Just left the taproom. Appears to be “plenty left” of the collab. Draft was tasting delish.

As an outsider I am intrigued by this post. I live in NH and regularly have beers by all the New England breweries in VT, Maine and Mass along with our NH breweries (and have friends all over who ship stuff) and I continue to find OH some of the best stuff out there. I know all tastes are different and would genuinely be interested to know what you are trading for that you like better. Cheers!

I'm kinda curious too. I'd assume/hope sours and stouts, because to me trading OH for pretty much any IPA would almost never be an improvement. And what else from NYC are people looking for in trades outside of OH itself?

Rumor has it they hopped this beer from the middle out. Hence the extra couple of bucks.

Personally, I'd have preferred they named it "Mean Jerk Time," because any collab with Monkish, Cellarmaker, and HBO is clearly designed to make us blow our load. That'd have been more honest and transparent, not to mention a better homage to the show's single greatest moment.

But I'm guessing, if it was ever discussed, that a sense of decorum prevailed. And that's probably just as well given the imagery involved.

From my perspective on the OH vs others, while I believe OH makes the best IPAs in the tri-state area, and are among the best period, I tend to get burned out on drinking the same style from the same brewery over and over again and seek out changes of pace. I’ve been on a bit of an OH hiatus lately. Drinking a bunch of Finback stuff recently and while I don’t think they’re quite as good as OH, they’re a nice change that I find I’m enjoying more since it’s something different. I’ll eventually catch the OH bug again and it will be nice to have a slightly refreshed perspective when I do.
