I was told that Trösten is being distributed next week in MA. Meanwhile, my LBS in VA got it yesterday the day I left for MA.

    In the Maine division:

Didn't get a receipt, but at Oak Hill Beverage in Scarborough got a 4-pack of Vagabond Dreamer (formerly known as Onsight #7) for $16.99 and after the regular and Wheatwine BCBS bottles were added my total was $46 and change. So reg+wheatwine was less than $30. They also had the Cafe and Cheri variants but I didn't take the plunge and the prices weren't displayed.

Edit: this was around 5pm yesterday and I believe there were only a few bottles of Cheri remaining and maybe half a case of cafe. Had backup cases of regular and wheatwine.

Posted this in the Celebration thread, but realized it belongs here too. Everything was purchased at Ball Square, and I think a couple singles at Pemberton Farms if I recall correctly:

"I got Notch's Pyscho Candy and Voll Projekt's Red Headed Stranger in my fridge. And also Fonta Flora's Lake James Lite is honestly the best craft light lager I've ever had. For the style and ABV (3.8%) the depth of the malt profile is outstanding. The price isn't though, $17 for a six pack of 12 oz. cans. That's a bit much even for me.

I also like to have stuff at home that's sessionable too, which Celebration (as much as I love it) isn't. Having Pyscho Candy (3.4%) and Lake James Lite (3.8%) on hand fits the bill and balances out my fridge.

Other stellar finds are Allagash's Map 40, which is a Belgian-style stout brewed with Speckled Ax's cold brew coffee. This beer is damn good, especially in the winter. And also Oxbow's Sap Haus, a smoked dark lager brewed with Maine maple syrup. An excellent dark lager in my opinion, and well worth trying at least a single.

Both of these beers are absolutely not adjunct-heavy syrupy sweet beers. I definitely recommend picking up anything I listed here."

This thread doesn't seem to mention IPAs too much but I thought I would throw this out there.
A couple of months ago I saw Unwind Your Mind from Hop Butcher pop up in my liquor store. I had never heard of the brewery so I passed. I went home and looked it up and that beer had won national awards. I went back a couple of days later and it was gone. I was kicking myself.
Last week I was in the store again and this time they had Teal Ridge and Run to Daylight. I was intrigued but figured they couldn't be as good as Unwind Your Mind so I passed. I forgot about it for a few days When I remembered I checked some reviews. Teal Ridge is on par with Unwind Your Mind and Run to Daylight is one of the best beers they make. I was really kicking myself this time.
Has anyone had Hop Butcher? Has anyone seen it around? Does anybody know about distribution plans?
I am hoping it turns into what Toppling Goliath is where now I can easily find all of their top varieties at a reasonable price. They are both highly rated midwest breweries so I thought it could happen.

My sister lives in Chicago so I've been lucky enough to try a few of their IPA's. Everything I've had from them has been on par with some of the best around NE. Definitely worth trying if you see them again.

Also, their pistachio milk stout "MilkStachio" is amazing.

Toppling Goliath just opened a massive facility and that definitely helps with their price point; I doubt Hop Butcher is brewing to the same scale to be able to offer T.G. style pricing.

That's what the Tree House thread is for...and also the annual Celebration thread.

I saw that they’ve been distributing and I’ve wanted to try them for sometime now, but I haven’t been able to find any cans yet. Why store did you see them at? The only one I’ve seen receive them is Fort Point Market

    Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge.
I usually pop in once a week to peruse the shelves. They seem to get a lot of good one off stuff which is why I was surprised to see it a second time. Like I said before though, it flew off the shelf. It lasted three days max. So if I hadn't happened to see it those two times, I probably wouldn't have known it was ever there. Hence the reason I stop in once a week.
I am also curious as to how similar the inventory is at the Yankee Spirits chain. Do all the locations get the same stuff?

Grabbed a 4 pack of OB BA tenfidy tonight. New to me. $20. For my dollar OB and lagunitas have the market cornered. I passed on KBS, CBS, BCBS (stout, wheat wine, and coffee) and smores yeti.

Grabbed 2 IPA I had previously waited in line for...beer is looking up...or down depending on angle.
