Alright BA, on to the main course. On the left is my last bottle of FIS bottled 12/5/14 (5 years ago today) and on the right is the 11/21/19 bottling that I purchased today

You'll have to trust me on the 2014 date. I have it recorded in my old notebook from before I reviewed or posted. Here's the pour...
2014 has a head that lasts less than a minute. Aroma is fudge brownie. Taste is smooth, semisweet dark chocolate with an oily, creamy feel and easy carbonation.

2019 pours with a persistent head that eventually becomes a thin line and some patched of lace. The aroma is earthy hops and baker's chocolate. The taste is resinous, earthy hops interwoven with dark chocolate and just a touch of bitterness. The feel sharper carbonation with a roasty bite.

In the end, I prefer the character of the 2014 personally, but the 2019 is more complex and has more depth.

Cheers all & pick up a four pack or two. If you don't like it, I'll take it off your hands.

Thanks - it made for a quick and satisfying dinner. Weeknights I get lazy sometimes when it comes to cooking after working all day. Cheers friend, hope all is well!

Third Veil beer. Don't Move DIPA. My least favorite of the three.

I'm actually rather surprised that I never heard of that game before. Dysentery is an unpleasant way to go :stuck_out_tongue:

Great review and I'd probably prefer the 14 as well. I really enjoyed the ones I've stashed over the years. Somewhere in that basement of boxes I transported here is a few more vintage bottles! Cheers.....

Day #5 of Aldi's advent box. Licher Weizen. A wonderful example of the German style. Big on the banana and creaminess. Not huge on spice.

Can't speak to the website (Found it on a google search) but the game seems to be functioning fine, should you want to experience the majesty!

I worked with a DEC PDP 11/70 (among many other mainframe and mini-computers at Site-R, Pennsylvania, but don't recall any gaming things (not that we had much access to things beyond general computer ops to keep things running for the actual programmers / users...

Both are great albums. Played them probably way too many times in my youth.

Do you remember PIP (Peripheral Interchange Program)? We used to wreak havoc with that program. For example, you could pip a command sequence over to another user's monitor and set the scroll region to two lines.

My favorite was to create a text file loaded with the escape sequences to set the background to black and then set the background to white and then pip it over to someone's terminal and it would look like their monitor was going crazy. We used to torment each other with such things lol.

Alchemist Crusher, prolly one of my top 5 beers of all time. Not pouring it since it has about 2 months on it. Taste is still solid, just hits all the right notes for me. Follow up shot has been chambered and let go. TV has nightmare before Christmas on, love it but a little busy for my impending buzzing head.....shrimp tacos.....
