CCB Burbon Big Sound

Yea it will be there. This is a in house buy only. If for some reason they are out ( shouldn't be ). Post me and ill give you my number and make sure you get one. It went so well with dinner last night.

My buddy is headed to the taproom Sunday - other than the Big Sound what bottles or growlers are on sale that I should have him pick up? Is Zhukov still there? I already have Jose Marti down here.

 

There is a couple stores right near CCB that still have Zhukov. If you look real hard you can still find Moat Water as well.

 

I was at CCB last night. Plenty of BA Big Sound in the coolers, but the rest of the bottles there were shelf stuff....Jose Marti, Maduro, and Jai Alai. Had some nice stuff on draft, including Oatmeal Raisin Cookie which was awesome but not available for growler fills. Growler fill list was mostly just the usual shelf stuff also, they stopped the Zhukov growlers recently.

 

Craps. I've always wanted an oatmeal cookie growler. That stinks.

 

Was there at noon and they took Vanilla Maduro off the growler list.The Oatmeal Raisin was real good as was the BA Big sound.Went to TW right there and couldn't find any Moat Water or Terrapin Liquid Bliss.Did pick up a few bottles that I can't get in Daytona though.MIKE

 

Vanilla Maduro hasn't been on tap in a while, not sure why it would've been on the growler list

 

What is awhile? I just got a gallon growler of it maybe a few weeks ago...

 

Yes it has it was on last week. They also just Distributed a hand full of VM kegs.

 

Then update your website.It was on the website Friday night when I looked what was on tap.

 

Has anyone had a beer that compares to the style that isn't a limited release like these? My buddy and I shared one last week and he was curious. Said it was best beer he's ever had.

 

Founders Backwoods Bastard is probably the closest thing that isn't super limited. Having had both though, I think the Bourbon Big Sound is WAY better than Backwoods Bastard. Bourbon Big Sound just has a ton of flavor going on while Backwoods Bastard has a nice barrel character, but kinda tastes like bourbon barrel aged generic malty beer. I'd also take a look at Firestone Walker's Double Double Barrel Ale.

 

Hell, I'd be happy if either were available around me. Can't do a taste comparison of products that don't come to the area.
