    Yeah, Uiltje make some great IPAs, but what the hell is a "SWDIPA" supposed to be and why do those raptors have elephant feet :stuck_out_tongue:?

    New beer at the monopoly, Bocanegra Pilsner. 5% abv. It's a Mexican brewery and apparently it is owned by ABInbev. The beer is amber colored, indicating the use of a darker malt. The aroma is caramel and sweet malt, some light hops, beyond that it is very clean smelling. The taste is malty, slightly sweet with a distinct caramel malt flavor. The hops mostly come across as a balancing bitterness and a light standard herbal macro lager hop flavor. I guess the caramel malt flavor isn't worlds apart from some Czech lager beers, but this tastes like an "amber lager" that they labeled as a pilsner because amber lager doesn't mean anything in people's minds. It tastes well made for what it is, but I have a low tolerance for brewers that brew one thing and label it another.

    Quite a nice rye DIPA brewed in collaboration between Lervig and Finback. Good stuff, but I wish it were a bit lighter on the floral hops and heavier on the rye malt.

    What I love about this is how clearly the Motueka and Nelson hops stand out, with quite vivid zesty lime and lightly acidic white grape notes that actually complement each other quite well. Another great one from FrauGruber.
