    look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

    Fine soft yellow body, a bit cloudy; very lively carbonation; relatively thin and frothy white head, lasting. Respectable citrus and fruity aroma riding atop a subtle mild cereal grain base. Light malt flavor with sum fair ester action and a touch of peppery spiciness; some citrus elements; muddled hop bitterness. Medium body; fizzy and coarse; mainly dry mouthfeel throughout.

    What to make of this beer? It's labeled as a West Coast APA yet is listed as an American pale wheat ale in BA (where some BAs with more refined taste buds than mine claim a wheat presence). Also, the current BA listing has the ABV at 5.1% as of this review, yet the brewery's web site lists it at 5.3% at their tap room while the can I'm sampling puts it at 5.5%. But the ABV is really neither here nor there. The beer as a whole is decent enough yet seems rather coarse and unrefined across the board. Not bad. Just a bit raw. But, as in most cases, it is worth trying...

(I'm streaming it online as opposed to listening to the local radio broadcast this evening)...I'm a huge Alan Hovhaness fan (although Leonard Bernstein scorned him, calling his 1st Symphony "cheap ghetto music"), so this is a real treat...

    I just had a wonderful visit with @scream, his wife, and his dog. The visit featured a Napa Parabola provided by @bbtkd, and a Double Stuffed provided by @The-Adjunct-Hippie. I am now home, ready to celebrate the 25th birthday of the best athlete on the planet.

    Never hit here, unfortunately. We've got the occasional locals that are so-so. They don't even put them in 16 ounce cans! :rolling_eyes::sunglasses:

    Spencer Quad - checking off one of the newer Trappist breweries - I did not realize there were so many new ones added - there are now 14, and I've only previously had beers from Chimay, La Trappe, Rochefort, Orval, Westmalle, Westvleteren,and Zundert. Six more to go, I've got some work to do!

    After enjoying some amazing stouts with @scream, I need a proper NEIPA. @Danmullens1 provided this excellent beer from Chicago, IL, for me. Montell Jordan performed the halftime show for the Milwaukee Bucks game, so, this is how we do it.
