He's going for the galaxy brain play of letting Food Emporium rob him blind instead of Other Half.

Paid $14.99 for each bottle. That's with it being distributed. OH makes and sells everything inhouse. No reason to charge what they charge. They do it cause they can

Seems like the Snowbirds are on tap right now too, but I'm guessing the taproom is kind of nutty?

Still do but whole foods had a cheaper price on it. Random grab when I went to get lunch

So....... the exact same reason Prairie/retailers charge what they do as well?

I don't think Prairie's over the counter pricing is that much lower than $15 for these. At $15 for a 12oz its the same price per oz as OH's BA stuff more or less.

Retailers charge base on what they paid for the case. Most shops work at maybe a 30% to 40% margin

$24 for a 16.9 fluid oz bottle is almost 20 cents more cents per ounce. Without the cost of distribution. Prairie has their beer sent in a refrigerated truck to their distributors

Yes, because they can, ie that is what consumers are willing to pay. Exactly the same as OH. Right? I totally get that this sounds petty (sorry lol) but I'm just confused as to what the reasoning is there.

If other half has no middle man as most retailers do they should have the cheapest prices. If snowbirds were distributed would they charge their distributors these prices?

Wait a minute- prices aren't just a function of distribution costs. There's many inputs and the cost of transporting those inputs, there's real estate, labor...and last I checked Prairie's hops weren't hand-picked, and their bananas weren't wild and Thai. Just sayin'.

and also I’m no expert but presumably there’s a higher cost to operating in Brooklyn than Oklahoma City

(just joking - I work in commercial real estate - I am an expert)

Lets get back to the real question, any line warriors in the thread to give us an update of what things look like?

They "should" have the cheapest prices, why? Price isn't merely a function of cost-of-materials for both retailers and for breweries. It's one factor. So is demand. That's my point.
