    Mystic Brewing - De Varenne. Blended Wild Ale - 6.5%ABV.

    Found this at a tiny wine shop.

    The nose on this absolutely blew me away. Easily one of the best wild ale aromas I've experienced. It drinks quite nicely, though I wish they didn't blend as much tartness out as they did. Still tart, still great. My only complaint is an almost pure lack of effervescence. Some more bubbles and a touch more pucker would elevate this to near world-class status. Still damn fine for an $8 shelf beer. Remember guys, always explore random beers on random shelves at random little places. Odds are, you're not getting that bottle of Ann, so it doesn't hurt to start looking for alternative options.

    Last day of Portuguese cruise. Lupum Imperial Stout with Portuguese chocolate and Portuguese coffee.

    Pic with bartender on board. Awesome guy. Gave me expensive AF whiskey from the backroom for free.

    Founders Civilized Brut. Not always crazy about this sub-style but this is pretty good. Straight forward, clean, and crisp. Doesn’t really scratch my IPA itch though.
