Galaxy Unicorn is still fantastic. That is all.

Has anyone experienced this with an Infinite Citra?

This is from last night, and while it didn't taste awful, it was definitely not a citra IPA. Canned on 10/31.

It's almost like they canned the wrong beer.

I'm going to open another one later today to see if it was an isolated thing.

Genuine Bock Beer is absolutely delicious again.

Gotta be a bad can. Looks like oxygen got to that one.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. It didn't taste terrible, just not what it should've been. Thanks.

You could reach out to pipeworks. Brewers typically appreciate that feedback and want to be told about quality issues.

Didn't see that they released it again this year, when did it come out?

Just came out last week I believe. Maybe two weeks ago.

Has anyone tried the peppermint bark stout yet?

Maybe this is an irrational anger, but I’m real sick and tired of a new sugar factory lactose kitchen sink adjunct stout every couple weeks, but no barrel aged release for a really long time and no news of one upcoming either.

They have been dealing with infections in their BA releases for a while. I'm sure they are spending time working to make sure that does not happen again before they release a bunch more BA beers.

Also, kind of funny to be complaining about PW making weird one offs given how they started out.

They age their BA stuff for a LOOONG time. So yes, your anger is irrational!

Maybe they are holding it back for the drafts at the brewpub opening?

Imagine being angry because a brewery didn't release some beers in a while. As if there's not enough good beer out there to hold someone over.

Yeah, I'd say it's irrational anger.

Didn't Garrit post a response regarding their barrel program going forward? From what I can remember, he said that they are fully re-working it from the ground up, and he is going to personally oversee everything until they are completely satisfied with the direction of it.

They know they've had issues lately, it's not acceptable to them, and they are doing something about it. There should be no anger at all directed toward this.

Also funny to be complaining about not seeing a style of beer for a long time that has "aging" in the style name.... There's a reason it isn't called Barrel Fresh Beer...

    From a few weeks ago...
Additionally I think they may be testing out adjuncts for the beer that's in barrels right now which is why you are seeing so many "sugar factory lactose kitchen sink" releases of late. Also have some fucking patience. There are too many barrel aged stout releases in the area for any one person to buy/taste them all.

Man, I see I crunched some fanboy toes. Apologies to those feelings I’ve hurt. I’ll express nothing but butterflies and rainbows from here on out. Perhaps I just don’t care for these sugar factory stouts from any brewery. I love their old world style line they’ve amped up in 2019. Carry on.
