Thank Christ it only took 36 minutes for the choc chip debate to be settled by a recent transplant, no less. It's clearly levain. I'm proud of everyone here.

 

While delicious, I take umbrage with the fact that thr Levain CCC has walnuts in it. I’ve always felt that it should disqualify it from the category if we are talking TRUE Chocolate Chip Cookies.

When it was open, City Bakery probably had my favorite in the city. Thin and crispy like an ice cold can of Crickets

 

I find if hard to believe there is a better cookie than Levain anywhere on the planet, let alone so close. This is intriguing

 

I’ve generally thought Levain is best and best value for sure. You can ask them to warm them which is nice but take their advice and don’t get one straight from the oven as it’s molten. I recently had the one from Maman and think it may be slightly better due to better and more chocolate which I prefer. Maman also makes a nice s’mores cookie.
Pretty clear this is relevant to this thread. We are probably talking similar calorie count and health impact. Personally If I had to choose I think some of these desserts are more enjoyable than the beers who are trying to taste like them.

 

I may be a recent transplant, but I've been gobbling up the gooey wares from Levain for well over 2 decades, long before beer was even a glint in my eye.

Congrats on the new role!

Anyone have any idea on bottle counts for BA Drupe? I'm already pretty hesitant given the bottle I opened last night, but the lure of OH is strong. Might swing by at lunch.
