Went to a conference in Minneapolis last October, but I wasn't yet aware of Surly.

I feel your pain but slightly differently. I also went on a VT road trip to Alchemist and HF and knew of and wanted to purchase some Lawson's. Problem is - they don't sell at the brewery so I went to the store recommended on the brewery website on the day they recommended and found very little. Of course, the trip wasn't a total waste but I only got 2/3 of the beers I wanted.

Not too long ago I passed on a bottle of Cantillon Geueze. I'm not quite a huge fan of sours yet, though I had heard the name thrown around. Wish I'd've bought it just to have the chance to build up a desire for sours quickly and try this highly regarded brew.

Every time I go to the package store to buy beer I miss something because they have so much good stuff...

As to music, though I am now 40, I didn't get into Pearl Jam until about 2007. I spent the 90s in a weird all country all the time mode despite having been a total metal head in h.s. The vagaries of life.

I missed the tapping of bolt cutter because I didn't want to spend an hour each way on the metro on a Sunday afternoon. I already do that shit 5 days a week.

+1 to that. My girlfriend and I stayed in Waterbury that same weekend! But we were in the Burlington area visiting family on Sunday. I tried some Lawsons across the street at Blackback and it was great. Would have loved to make it back to Burlington for the Lawsons tap takeover though!

For me I think years of saying I will get up to Portsmouth Brewery to try to get my hands on some Cate the Great. With Tod Mott gone : ( my chances of getting it now are slim to none. Hopefully when he sets up shop somewhere else he will bring the recipe back. My guess is he will tweak the recipe and so I will never have had the chance to get my hands on the original Cate.

When I was on the west coast earlier this year I skipped out on Russian River sours because of the price. A couple months later I started really getting into sours and wish I had picked up that bottle of Supplication.

I also didn't buy FW Parabola when I was in a Whole Foods there, because they had Alesmith Speedway Stout, which I hadn't tried either and it was a bit cheaper. I really should have bought both.

In 2010, before I was really into craft beer, we took an epic three-week West Coast road trip that, in part, took us across Oregon and down the California coast. Along the way, we missed countless opportunities to check out awesome breweries, including Deschutes and Russian River, because they weren't even on our radar. I don't even want to think about all the great bottle shops we missed out on. Either way, it was still a super memorable trip, and hindsight is 20/20 .

Driving back to Ohio from Wisconsin, I was adamant that we stop at Kuma's, stay in Chicago, and then hit Three Floyds for Lunch. Kuma's blew a keg of Gumballhead while I was waiting to get in, and didn't have another. Next day at Three Floyds, tried Rye'da Tiger (which I f'ing loved) and found they had just recently sold out of it bombers and wouldn't put it in a growler. Not exactly tragic, but the worst I've faced thus far.

I was driving back up the east coast to Boston and while Driving through NC I missed Duck Rabbits grand opening of their tasting room area. I wasn't too thrilled about that.

Did a lot of traveling in Europe in my early 20's (late 1990's) before I really became interested in beer. Was mostly in wine countries but would love to have the Czech Republic to do over again.

Some of the earlier Stone Vertical Epic bottles, the earliest one I have is 09. Could at least have 08 and 07 since that's when I was getting into craft. I loved Stone but didn't really know what they were so I passed them up.

I've been in Tampa 2 years ago and planned to visit Cigar City but got sick on the only day I could have some time to visit the brewery. So I've yet to try a Cigar City offering...

Believe it or not I read a tweet on a Sunday morning that Eddie Vedder had gone into a bar 2 blocks from my house and performed an impromptu unplugged session (place is a local favorite of his). 2 blocks! Pretty sure I was on the couch watching one of the Twilight movies with the wife that night :grimacing:
