Founders Imperial Stout landed at Total Wine Norfolk, all my Hampton Roads ppl. get it while its around.

    I passed and went crazy:
3 4packs of the OConnor Ibrik Turkish coffee stout variants
VA Beer Co Evil Santa spiced stout, mocha version
    Barrel Aged Ten Fidy

Bought a 4 pack of FIS today at Binny’s in suburban Chicago. I haven’t had it in 3-4 years, but was quickly reminded that this is the best non BA stout! It’s amazing in its simplicity. It took me back 10 years. I miss the the 2010 craft beer scene. This and Red’s Rye are easily 2 of my favorites of all time.

Anyone seen FIS in northern California at all? I'm gonna be mighty bummed if I can't score a handful of these

Not yet. Hit up a couple local bottle shops over the weekend, but no-go. Good news is that they told me to be patient; it will get here and with enough to spare. So that was welcome news.

Unwelcome news was that BA Ten Fidy was not set in stone yet, and unsure when it will get here.

Also, heard that Founders Espresso KBS not due until Jan, but again, to be patient as it will arrive.

Frustrating to watch other states already enjoying these brews and are stocking up, but in the Bay Area, we are still waiting.

Personally, really wanting to try+age FIS.

That's good to hear, at the bar last night the bartender told me that FIS shingle was in the on deck pile which he figures means there is a keg of it in the house

Yes, they have the best selection around by far. Beer selection is good too but I make special trips for the whiskey.

Got confirmation that Espresso KBS will hit next week in the Bay Area. FIS expected to follow suit, but could not get confirmation. Fingers crossed.

Just picked up some FIS north of the bay area, it should be around for you guys down there by now.

In fact I'm drinking my first fresh bottle now. It's good, but not quite hitting all the right notes for me. Has a bit of boozy heat and the bitterness and sweetness don't mesh as well as I'd hoped. I did however have a 2015 keg on tap last week and that beer was phenomenal and the fresh bottle seems to me like a beer that will settle into a lovely place given a little time. I will probably try to get another 2 4 pks to put away for a couple years. Only seen singles so far, they were 2.99. Same price we pay for breakfast stout, can't ever knock founders for their pricing

Had Espresso KBS last week. It was great. One of the few really heavy coffee beers that doesn't taste like burnt coffee to me. Grabbed a 4-pack of FIS yesterday. I have always preferred Expedition, but I'm excited to try it again. Maybe later tonight.

Did not know it was back, was very happy to pickup a 4pack of FIS for 14.99. always liked this one aged too, so might get a second as prefered these in past to most more expensive big stouts

That's a great price! I paid $22 in CA. Tried it H2H with Expedition, and I'm reminded I far prefer FIS.
