Top 5 in no order, only new to 2019 beers.

    Mouthful of Diamonds
BA Pastrytown VIP Stout (the blend with vanilla)
    Diamond Reflection
    Green City All Stars
Things Just Happen As They Do

Right on the outside looking in is Bananaversary and HDHC/Experimental ACE (which I left off since its an OG beer re worked).

Top 5 in no order previously brewed

    DDH Citra + Galaxy
DDH Space Diamonds (particularly the Sept, maybe?, batch that was insane)
HDHC/Experimental ACE (will include this one here)
    Florets (Feb Batch)
Triple Broccoli (Aug/Summer batch, was absurdly outstanding)

This sudden pace makes me feel like we have too much to do and too little time, recap favorites beers, rewelcome FLOrida, settle in/on line, point to peak OH thread, etc

What about the worst beers of 2019? Practice, not a game has to be the top right? #189189189

Chocolate Cherry Crunchee as well, it tasted like cough syrup IMO.

Should we all change our avatar to the label of our favorite new beer? If we debate the rules of the debate we'll #189 sooner.

easily the raspberry swirly crunchee nonsense.

fav beers of 2019 for me were:
    things just happen
    exp ACE
Do you want more? (i know, controversial choice)
    the super good mylar batches

fav moment of 2019: bottom of the double citra daydream can that read "we found kevin"

being that the year is almost over i have wondered...

    1. has kevin been found?

    2. is 2020 the year of LeoTheBeerPoodle? Or at least the year of all those visiting OH wearing their @IG tag on their baggy hoodie?

    3. Will Other Half Newark surpass OH Roc as the newest source of angst in this thread?

    4. Will we see a $30+ 4 pack?

Ugh, I forgot about this one. I have 1 can left just sitting in my fridge that I'm sure I'll never get rid of.

Looking back at my tasting notes on Untappd and using my hazier-than-a-NEIPA-with-mango-added memory, I'll just say that my favorite new beer was a new take on an old classic, the HDHC Triple Mosaic Dream. More generally, I feel this is the year that OH cemented their status as the best maker of TIPA's; so many of those 10%'s are just dangerously delicious.

My least favorite beers were the banana stouts. I haven't yet had a stout with banana that was very good, and I like bananas and stouts dammit- someone has gotta crack this nut where the two are more than just the sum of their parts.

    Other thoughts:

Some really cool dual-hops came out earlier this year (Citra+Triumph, Mosaic+Loral) and none of them stuck out at the time, but it would be great to see more of those along with the classics.

Cashmere was the hop I got most excited about, and it seemed like this year OH really deployed it to good effect, and not too infrequently either.

Peanut butter was the stout adjunct I enjoyed the most, whether in Short Dark or the weird fluffer nutter thing they did (and one more shout out to their collab with Grimm, Jam Don't Shake, the saltiness in the Grimm version was insanely delicious in the beer, and OH's version was solid too).

I don’t have a good enough memory to discern my top 5 OH beers from last month let alone all year. What I will say is the one thats standing out as one of my favorites was Broccoli Kong.

I'll chime in after looking at my Untappd history for the year...other than the ACE offerings some standouts for me this year:

    HDHC AGE
    Tremendous Cream
    5th Anniversary IPA
    DDH Vapor Rings
    Green City All-stars

Blueberry Crunchee was 18, right? That would be near the top of mine.

No love for the original Did I Make Myself Clear? I'd say that Crispy Waves, BA Pastrytown VIP, and Bananaversary were the standouts that I can remember.

Saying Crispy Waves is essentially (and I hate the term so forgive me) virtue signaling

If you want to insult me, at least say it to my face you coward.

Crispy Waves is more than a beer, it's a way of life. I wouldn't expect anyone except the hyper intelligent (like me) to understand, so I forgive you.

Like was this beer legitimately Suarez-level? I usually virtue signal via Suarez consumption. Just as a reminder (and hopefully to instigate more chatter #189), it led to my favorite reaction post of 2019:
