Don't be so demanding. Let them make some cash first.

True. I know it's exciting to have somewhere so close, just saying.

As a homebrewery, I would LOVE to do a contest like that, however, its something I need to discuss with Charles first. I'm going to get us put on the AHA Benifits list of approved vendors too. I can tell you that the Shuttlecocks are absolutely holding our next competition judging at NPH.

As far as doing a bottle share before we open, I seriously doubt it, but will talk with Charles about it.

I would also like to hear what you guys would like to see on tap. Keep in mind, the Petrol's and Hay Merchants of the world get all the good stuff first, (deservedly so) but if there are some breweries or beers you guys would like to see us carry let me know. I will tell you that, as of now, we have a keg of Brooklyn Black Choc Stout, Avery duganA, DFH Burton Baton, and Deschutes Black Butte XXIV, as well as a couple special Lips of Faith kegs

    That's pretty damn solid!

I'm way away, but will try to get down south once you open to check it out.

    Nice!

Definitely any limited Jester King you can get. I wouldn't mind seeing another solid chocolatey stout like Outer Darkness or Yeti. Other than that, I'm not picky, haha. I'm excited for the 512 and Live Oak so close by. And the sour tap!

I want some JK badly, unfortunately, it takes awhile to get keg/cask product from them from what I've heard. I'm going to be talking with them soon to figure it all out. We will definitely have Yeti on tap, and Outer Darkness would be nice, but I believe it is gone for now. I REALLY wanted some Abyss but we were only able to get it in bottles.

That sounds like a heck of a line up. I stoked for some yeti and sour taps, maybe a Hercules? Scots gone wild from real ale was pretty awesome and highlander was great too.

As for Jester King maybe we can work something with those guys because I make trips out there to visit family pretty regularly. I would be happy to throw a keg in the back seat for ya...

Whenever its available stone RIS is pretty awesome and you gotta love the limited Karbach stuff as well as the various other Houston beer scene. Buffalo bayou, 8th wonder etc etc

JK is hard to find in Houston on tap.

It's not like you see it all the time even at Petrol or Hay Merchant.

I think they keep kegs mostly in Austin.

I told Charles that I would gladly drive out to Austin and throw some Hops & Grain, Austin Beerworks, JK, and Thirsty Planet Buckethead in my truck and bring it back. I may just do it one weekend.

As far as Sours go, I'm planning on having Jacobins at open, and will rotate it in and out constantly as its my favorite. I will do my best to keep that one as interesting as distributors will allow me

Real Ale Devil's Backbone on tap would be great..... and their seasonal Coffee Porter.... and any of their anniversary beers... :grinning: I'm a Real Ale fan.

I am too. Coffee Porter is all gone. I plan on bringing Sisyphus in at some point. Fireman's 4 is the only RA beer that we will have at first though, other than the Single Hop Brewmasters Collection beer we have coming in.

Jester King does a lot of casks. Just about everything I have scene in Houston the last year has been a cask from them. That really limits their availability, and probably puts you guys in better shape to get some in the future.

Talked with JK. Commercial Suicide is all they have available right now in keg, so I'm ordering it. We will also be bringing in some stuff from Fort Bend Brewing. Most likely their IPA and Stout.

Yesterday, we got in Avery Ale to the Chief, Avery Czar, Ommegang Scythe & Sickle, Ommegang Duvel RĂºstica, Real Ale Signiture Pale Ale, and Left Hand FTB.
