In addition to Object Permanence, we will have available two cans during our tour and tasting room hours today of 12pm – 7pm.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The first is Strata, a new 7.0% single hop IPA. Strata is brewed with two row, wheat, oats, a small amount of Strata in the whirlpool and dry hopped with lots of Strata. This beer really highlights notes of passion fruit, strawberry, and grapefruit, as well as a strong dank characteristic. Strata is $18 a 4-pack | 1 case limit.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The second is a fresh run of our triple IPA, Third Reef. Coming in at 11%, Third Reef was brewed with our Pilsner base malt, flaked oats, malted wheat, and a touch of German crystal malt. It was hopped with Simcoe and Citra in the kettle, and dry-hopped with Galaxy, Amarillo and Mosaic. $20 a 4-pack | 1 case limit.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

If you’re coming in for a tasting, we will have some special beers on tap today:⁣⁣

    • 2016 Object Permanence: Our 11.8% Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine with deep layers of molasses, vanilla, bourbon and caramel.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
    • Boardwalk Twist: Our 11% Imperial Stout conditioned on a blend of five varieties of vanilla beans and four varieties of cacao nibs.

Just got here and there’s like 6 people. I know it’s not a stout or an IPA, but I’m still surprised there’s not more of a line this close to open when they announced it the night before.

The more it tastes like beer the less the masses seem to care.

Release fatigue? Personally, I’m glad for it.

And I did! Totally worth it. Very chill release and a lot of nice options.

I’m hoping nothing crazy pops up next weekend cause it looks like I finally have a chance to make the trip that Saturday. If it’s that quiet today those OP bottles will definitely have to last till then.

How'd it seem bottles were holding out when you were there? Still debating hitting there before close. But if stick was holding may push out til tomorrow.

Both of you, don’t get me wrong, it was busy, but I got there at opening, they let the very short line all in at once through the front door, and then it took 5-10 minutes to get my order. Then zero line to get my flight. Got a seat no problem. When I left around 1, there was no line for the new stuff. I don’t know how much they had of everything, otherwise I’d confidently say it’ll all last awhile. Side note: they also had bottles of Sunday Brunch. Plus STILL anniversary bottles left - how?? Lots of cans left from last release too.

Edit: hard to figure out. Last weekend they apparently sold out of their collab with Conclave in 45 minutes. Meanwhile I had that beer in my flight. I agree with whoever said it wasn’t as good as Gravitational Waves. Plus it was surprisingly clear. I thought Party Wave and GW were hazy.

Hate to be the harbinger of doom, but imo there's bad Gravitational Party Waves cans out there based on my own personal experience.

As I stated in an earlier post, the two cans I've opened so far have been darker looking than pics I'd seen of the beer. One can poured darkish tan, almost barley wine like. The other, even darker,a brown. Both had a lot of particulate matter. And both tasted very muted. No hops, malty, sweet-ish, but not in a desirable way. Like soft rotting fruit.

Was at Kane today, so for science I grabbed a pour of GPW because I wanted to know if it was just my imagination that my cans may be bad. Sure enough, completely different beer. Color was bright Amber, plenty of hop presence, fruity, and delicious. Night and day.

Soooo... anyway shot Kane an email. Waiting to hear back. Anyone else experience this with GPW cans?

I had a four pack and all four were solid. Prefer G Waves and Prefer Party wave but it was nice to see two faves collab. Glad to go to Kane today the day after a release and chill and buy bottles and cans no problem.

I was hoping for a nice quiet Saturday trip, I hope holy nights doesn't completely mess with that. It stinks cause my window to go is when it will still be busy with a line I'm guessing. The more they have to go though the better, keeps things from running out. By a few of this a few of that, instead of buying a ton of one thing.

I'm sure its easy but I've never figured out how to post the link to a picture on here, oh well.

I THINK holy nights lasted a while last year. Maybe not so crazy.

Has Holy Nights been a line beer in the past? I definitely want one, but also want to get in and out early.
