I concur with what stealth wrote. Keeping in mind that I only drank the Bruery offerings from these boxes (don't like sours so I trade them with a coworker), the first box was really good, the second was good except for the Toasterversary (too sweet) and I skipped the third box. I just picked up box #4 this past Sunday so I have yet to try any of those.

If you really wanted to, you could have bought 5 to go along with the initial allocation of 2. That’s quite a bit, considering the initial allocation was only one extra to purchase.

No complaints, as I appreciate the additional opportunities to be tempted. Kinda like those BT10 boxes that keep staring at me...

Yeah I’ve ordered every GR offered, including those in the barrel odyssey sets. I’ll have a nice hoard of them lol.

I've discovered a conspiracy. The Bruery is trying to "suicide" my bank account!

As an incoming Hoarder, it appears that they've opened up a few releases from this previous year. Thank you to the Bruery and I'm excited to try a number of beers that I've not had before. But, imagine cramming an entire years purchases into one month. On top of BT boxes, a Christmas box, etc.

So, I've already purchased both of the GRBT bottles allocated. No questions asked and I'd take more. I got two bottles of Pie Happy. I got one bottle of Thee Cobbler. And More Room for More is up today. So my questions are:

    1) I know Thee has been compared to Anthem, which is one of my favorite Bruery beers. I know the cost difference has been debated. Worth another bottle? Looks like neither is on the list for next year.

    2) I'm not a sour junkie. But I do enjoy Filmishmish. Heard great things about the Room series. Worth it? Is room just about on the same sour level?

I'm on the fence for a Hoarders box solely because of the cost. But that Grain in Grain out! And I'm also excited and very very scared of what else might drop in the coming days. Anyone interested in a kidney with a few miles on it? Always stored inside!

In my opinion yes, more room for more is worth it. I like sour beer, it is a bit sour like a lot of bruery sours are but it is full of fruit flavor. For the price it's hard to beat especially for a well made sour. If you were going to buy a beer similar to it you would be spending more money. I enjoy filmishmish but I enjoyed more room for more a whole lot more.

I think today was the 12th and final day of the sale, so all cards are on the table.

The slate of beers for 2020 looks epic to me, so that's helping me from going too crazy now. For example, with the 2 year wine BA BT coming in January, I'm staying strong and not getting another Vindictive (I did just buy two in the last sale after all).

I think buying one of anything you haven't tried, assuming it sounds good, is the way to go. That means giving the Hoarder box a strong look vs stocking up on things you already have.

HS has an 8 bottle allocation for Thee Cobbler, which suggests a large inventory. Sorry if I turn out wrong, but in my mind safe bet it will appear in Anniversary sale, which means you can try the one you already bought first.

In fact, last two years they've done a "welcome" sale in January for new members, so you might even see a lot of these things again in a couple weeks!

    1) Tough call. If you are local, buy and pop open Thee tonight. If you love it, buy before the sale closes (don't know when it ends). And if you like to gamble, yes grand another!

    2) I prefer Room series >>> Filmishmish. Fruity Forward, and good price point. I wouldn't' buy a case, but 2 bottles for sure.

Anthem and Cobbler are two separate styles, Anthem is good, Cobbler is really good

Yes, imagine that! Even if they still have bottles I don’t think they can ever put them up for sale haha.

Thanks guys. Pulled the trigger on one more Thee and a couple of Room's. Have to wait for shipping. But these allocations are supposed to be around until the end of the year and I might have a couple of days to try these and see if I want more. Pie is supposed to be back next year, so I'm not too FOMO'd about that one. However, I really liked Apfelsap this sounds really good too.
