    Hi gang,

Two goals I'd like to achieve today (11/27)! Any advice?
    1) Good meal & pint. Stagehands told me that Hinterland and Titletown are both good; if you could only visit one, who would you give the advantage to? Or would you go elsewhere?
    2) I'd like to be leaving here with a case - or at least a six pack - of New Glarus on the bus. Is there anyplace within walking distance of Main & North Adams that would carry it? I really don't want to have to take a taxi just to buy beer...I like New Glarus, but I can't justify the additional cost.

    Thanks!!

    2) Probably not any of the Unplugged or the like NG...But you could walk over to Ned Kelly's and get a CW BBBW in a bottle for quick sip. Yum yum.

Geezer alert, apparently...I have absolutely no clue what CW BBBW is. And I thought I had all the acronyms figured out!

Any liquor store, grocery store and most gas stations will carry New Glarus. There's a grocery store about a block from Titletown and Hinterland on Dousman. I have no idea if they sell beer, though. Other than that, there aren't really any liquor or grocery stores downtown.

Titletown and Hinterland are very different restaurants. If price is of no concern, go to Hinterland. If it is, then Titletown is your better bet. I personally prefer the beer at Titletown by a wide margin and think the food is pretty good.

I'd agree with the nameless man above. Titletown's food is OK, above average, but if you are looking for some really good food that is reflected in the price, Hinterland. Their wine list is EXTREMELY pricey, I don't know how they get away with it personally. Highway robbery. Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barleywine. It's wonderful if you've never had it, and maybe not worth 12 dollars a bottle at Ned Kellys...but it's so delicious...Not KH, but on that level right below those quality of barleywines.

To be honest with you, taking a cab from downtown to Ridgeview and grabbing a bunch of good beer would totally be worth it. Grab a few bottles of Serendipity, Raspberry Tart, maybe some Enigma and Apple Ale left...some really nice stuff from Tyranena...

Hmm. Sadly, I've never really been able to acquire a taste for barleywines, so I'll probably skip on that - especially at that price. As for the New Glarus stuff, my biggest interest was actually just a case of Moon Man. I can't put my finger on a reason, but it's easily among the best pale ales I've ever had, and I'd love to bring home enough at the tour's end to share with friends and family.

Titletown is definitely getting my dinner business. Bring on the Bridge Out Stout!

Bridge out is good...they had a variation on cask with Juniper Berries when I was there 2 weeks ago or so. Check that out.

I was there the other day while I was in town for Thanksgiving. Bridge Out is an old favorite, but I really like Green 19 IPA and the C-Minor IPA was also really nice. Enjoy your stay in Green Bay. Hope you find a way to grab a case of Moon Man. It's fantastic stuff!
