I voted hazier & juicier IPA's because realistically that's what it's been for years now, and the trend this upcoming year will be some kind of IPA variation because that's what sells. I vote with my wallet and buy other styles of beer but when I go to the stores, more often than not they always have a bunch of new IPA's on the shelves compared to everything else.

Lager Renaissance is leading by a wide margin, and I sincerely hope y'all are right. If you're ever in the PNW look out for Chuckanut. Every lager they make is a thing of beauty.

My wife loves Lambics, I bought her a Lindemans gift set for Xmas, a cool glass and 4 beers. She also likes New Glarus fruit beers.

Agreed, too many breweries mess with the hop profiles when making lagers. I can barely find an authentic made European lager or pilsner made near me.

It would seem many of us would like to see lagers taken to another level. And I have to agree.
Lower ABV that is juicy. Like One Y
Seltzer, unfortunately not going anywhere in 2020. I'll be glad when this trend is over.
Will beer breweries delve even further into ciders?
    More contract brewing?
I'm hoping that craft beer will continue to thrive for the next 10,000 years+

Voted lagers, need a break from the palate saturating stouts and ipas.
My wish however is a return to old world styles in general. Miss the days of bocks, biere de garde, tripel, etc being readily available on tap.

It's always funny to see brewers claim to brew what they would want to drink when the reality is very different.

I hope there are more good lagers coming. Lagers take time. They take up space. They take patience. In this quick turnover business, it's hard for me to see this becoming a trend when very few brewers have shown they're willing to execute these beers without shortcuts.

Lagers and low-ABV but still flavorful beers would be my guess. I think there are a lot of us who got into craft beer more than a decade ago, and now that we're at or approaching middle-age, drinking a 10%, 350-calorie, Double-IPA or barrel-aged stout is too much to consume on a weekly or even monthly basis.

I'd also add that I think brewers are gonna start looking into more unique hops for distinct, dialed-in hoppy beers this decade. Or at least, I hope. Meaning more African and Australian/NZ hops. Some breweries around here, in the Denver area, are already doing this, and I think the results are pretty interesting. Some of those South African hops--like African Queen--have flavor profiles that I haven't really found in American hops, big jammy qualities, and stuff like that.

    What I hope is lagers

What I believe is that the trend will be toward low ABV/low calorie beers, basically craft versions of Michelob Ultra.

The other trend will be more breweries making hard selzer. My son is 22 and no one on his group drinks beer or wine. Their go-to is hard selzer, sometimes mixed with flavored vodka.

No. Just even more new varietals emerging, and with regional terroir becoming a factor. More options.

This crowd hopes for lagers--I see more good ones being made by small places....

but folks who don't think that hazy IPAs will not dominate the "craft scene" in 2020 are kidding themselves.

High quality lagers sure seem to, thankfully, be gaining popularity in the Denver area. Planning on a trip to cerebral after work tomorrow to pick up some foeder aged Baltic porter and schwarzbier. Take that milkshake everything else!!!

I’m divided between what I WANT to happen, and what I think will end up happening.

I, like many, hope for the Lager Renaissance. More than that, I also want this to get beyond the Pilsner/Helles fixation, but to explore other kinds of Lager - namely Bock, Dunkel, and Vienna.

What I think WILL happen instead is a continuing focus on IPA, and Seltzer will also be big. This winter so far has proven unable to kill off the trend, I think it’ll be a permanent staple, sharing space with beer in stores and drinkers’ preferences.

I'd like to see more non-barrel aged barleywines. These are becoming increasingly hard to find.

It does seem like barrel-aging has become the norm. Have you had Doggie Claws from Hair of the Dog? It's bottle conditioned and will age well so you can stock up on it.
