I dont think that makes sense given the layout of their Brooklyn facility. Their constraints have resulted in a space that is set up to do as many small batches as possible. They dont have the space to do things bigger. At that point, keep testing different things to see what sticks!

Maybe but I suppose they could also use what they have to do double batches of the more popular beers and also brew them more often.I did say that I’m probably in the minority.

Speaking of which, what beers are considered some of their year-round favorites these days?

The uptick from 2018 is probably because Other Half opened a second location in upstate NY about halfway through 2019. The Rochester brewery has its own releases that are different from the stuff released in Brooklyn.

Those. Plus I would add DDH Double Mosaic Dream and rotate the dual hop beers.

So only..."Space Diamonds, ACE, Hop Showers, Short, Dark & _____, etc"

Makes me want to look up how many year-round offerings they actually have.

Agree with those, but also Vapor Ringz.

I know that it's been said before, but I'd just like to see one imperial stout in the 8-10% range with no adjuncts in 4-packs at a fair price. Presumably they've done this at some point, but I've never seen it.

Whenever they get around to it, I want them to call it "Human Frailty" in honor of this thread (and one verbose contributor).

I'm pretty sure the closest thing OH has put out to your list is Short, Dark, and Handsome.

The number of stouts that OH has put out that are less than 10% ABV and priced "fairly" is surprisingly low.

I’d consider these to be my favorites from the beers that have been canned at least 3-4 times in 2019:
Hop Showers, ACE, Mylar Bags, Broccoli, Space Diamonds, Short,Dark &____, Stacks on Stacks, Aint Nothin’ Nice, AGE, Double Mosaic Dream, Forever Simcoe.
    Honorable Mention: Crickets

I had Chicken Riggies and Stalks on Stalks yesterday...can say that I preferred the Riggies. The finish on Stalks was really odd to me....Chicken Riggies was thicker and chewier which I preferred. Gonna stop down in a bit to grab the pilsner before heading to Red Hook Tavern to check out this burger situation.

I think it's safe to say this thread is mostly fans of straight ahead NEIPAs in the 7.5%-8.5% range. I think the non local fans driving the mules are big on the triples, more bang for inflated cost of buying on the grey market. It feels to me 10% have exploded this year.

Or I'm getting too old for 10% beers and it seems the OH crowd is getting younger.

Not sure whether Always & Forever is “regular” enough to make it onto this list but wish they’d make it more regularly. I initially had written it off because Forever Ever is pretty meh, but was hooked when they released it in early summer, and the next release after that went way too quick.

I just wish they’d have a non-lactose, sub-9% offering every Tuesday, rotating through this list of standards.

    3. DDH Oh...

I'd like to see Practice, Not a Game get tripled with the HDHC treatment. Maybe they could make it a collab with Nuun and condition it on some hand-selected tablets? Add a little whey protein and this would be my perfect post-workout recovery drink!
