Happy New Years folks and my Double Gator is still tasting good.
Along with all their other beers.

Grabbed a ticket for Rafters to Glasses. Stoked to try Beachwood's first wholly spontaneous gueuze-style beer. Also looking forward to the party. Their events never disappoint

I am also glad to be able to attend this event. People are missing out on their lambic-style offerings...to my benefit.

Yeah. I posted on the Highland Park Bottle Friends FB group that I was going to this event instead of the HPB brunch, and a few people were surprised... Like "why?"

Idk, bottle friends brunch was pretty solid and it seems like it's only improved this time around.

So this event, in typical Beachwood fashion, was freaking fantastic. The food was solid and plentiful. The beers were amazing. We Are Who We Pretend To Be was dry, funky, and made me want more. Illuminaire, a peach beer, tasted like biting right into a peach. Cowboy in Sweden was another killer beer made with blueberry, elderflower, and lemon zest

Cheers to Harrison, Travis and the whole (Beachwood) Blendery crew!

Pretend to Be is legit, and they still have bottles at the tasting room. :+1::ok_hand::heavymetal:

Finally got around to trying their pastry brown ale, Brunchmaster. Goddamn it smells EXACTLY like French Toast. I didn't opt for a pour, though, because it's super sweet

Cryo Me a River, though, is outstanding

Really enjoyed We Are Who We Pretend to Be. Aside from Jester King Spon 3 Year Blend, what other 3 year spontaneous beers have been produced domestically? Any standouts?

Beachwood also released "funk ya" last year. I have two bottles but left them at a friends house some hours away on accident so I won't be able to report back on the quality of that one for a few more weeks but it is in the geuze tradition of 1, 2, and 3 year blended
