What if TH has been AB owned this whole time?!

hence 450N selling out a week after people found out they were paying like $24 for the equivalent of a caprisun with a thimble of vodka.

That's a lot different. That crowd already does coke in line. The reduction in ABV isn't affecting their lifestyle choices very much.

It would be fascinating to see how an outside suitor would even value TH, given that they're 99% direct to consumer and have not even tapped into distribution channels yet (save for Gillette, but that's a fraction of a percent I imagine).

The combination of their sales and headroom to grow has to be unprecedented in terms of comparing them to past transactions.

Might even warrant what Constellation originally paid for ballast point...

TH could sell 20X what the sell currently if they sold out and ramped up for national distribution.
That would last a year or so, and then TH would turd like every other national craft brewer

I find it hard to believe there are still $1b valuations going to breweries anymore, hasn’t the bubble burst?

I agree with @rozzom that people would raise their hands at first and not care after a few months if TH was bought by In-Bev. Me, personally, I would not be buying their stuff. I would only consume their beer if there was a social obligation associated with it. Examples: meeting friends there, especially if I haven't seen them in a while (this is how I ended up at Trill Fenway a couple weeks ago), a friend hands me a TH at a crowded bar (this is my most recent Bud Light experience), or my business school has it as the weekly keg (I skipped it but the kegs tonight are Bud Light and Goose IPA). I do care about a company's business practices and I try to vote with my dollar. Obviously, I can't account for everything, but I try to control what I can. To each their own, but this is how I would proceed.

I don't know if that's even true. I feel like TH's reputation is pretty tightly confined to the nerdiest of beer drinkers and half of those people just trade for it already.

The key here is that you can buy better beer locally not that those breweries were bought out.

If TH was bought out AND the beer qualify fell off people might stop buying their beer. Both conditions are necessary.

Proper cans of snow make up for that ugly glass.

but here’s the big important point— Trilliums beer still sucks, after the fermentation profile it has remained a muddled flavorless sticky sweet mess. I’ve not purchased anything from them since — have shared a single can of something with a friend back in the fall and we both agreed it was gross and not the same as it used to be
