JdoubleA is old school... Amos Howard's is known as The Pub. I know this because I am the Lord.

-I'll be there. I'm stewarding both comps. Can't wait. I did the pro am last year and had a great time. Can't wait to see what the pros roll out, especially in the big categories.

Awesome! Look forward to seeing everyone who can make it to the judging! Keeping my fingers crossed that one of the judges won't show so I can hopefully fill in for them, otherwise I'll be stewarding.

Looks like a lot of one off's and specials are going to be at the 10th Anniversary of the fest. OHB is supposedly rolling a bunch of special beer. The NC Brewery page on FB mentions other brewery's doing the same. Can't wait to get down there on Friday. 2nd year in a row.

    OHB's festival lineup:

Eiraphiotes an imperial pilsner aged in chardonnay barrels. Hoppy floral nose, medium body, fruity with a slight acidity and oaky dryness.
    Death by Hops- Barrel Aged
the popular IPA, aged in bourbon barrels.
    Daniel Boone
an imperial brown ale aged in bourbon barrels.
    Seven Devils
a Scottish ale, aged in bourbon barrels, contriuting notes of chocolate and caramel.
    The Event Horizon
an annual release, The Event Horizon is the stunning result of imperial stout aged in barrels from several bourbon brands.
Saison Gee Olde Hickory's first Saison; a Belgian-style farmhouse ale.
Cask of Table Rock Pale Ale Olde Hickory's flagship pale ale, aged with toasted oak.
Cask of Hickory Stick Stout a delightful stout whose notes of coffee and chocolate blend perfectly with the sour cherries added for this cask.

Hmmm, DBH aged in Bourbon Barrels. Not so sure about that one. Not a big fan of Bourbon and Hops. Not enough malt in DBH to counter the bourbon IMO, but will definitley try it.
