Next up Saint Errant Brewing's Marshmallow Cauallier Imp Stout with Cocoa Nibs, Roasted Peanuts & Marshmallows. Almost sound like a Goo Goo Cluster; you would have to be from the South to know that.

Playing Battlefield Bad company 2 and got a tank on the loose. I can't call in an air strike, and don't have any sticky grenades, hmm. I am owning on the headshots though. Really love the T-88 Scoped


Guinness Barrel-Aged Stock Ale. Amazing Old Ale. Fantastic head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, roasted nuts, biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, plum, fig, date, coconut, leather, tobacco, cocoa, coffee, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery, roasted bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts; some sticky hops, chalky roast, oak tannins, and light slickness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness. No cloying sweetness. Mild increasing warmth of 10%, minimal barrel booze. Dangerously smooth/soft sipping. Amazing balance of super rich malts, and bourbon barrel presence/integration; solid earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering bitter/tannic dryness. This is textbook as hell for the style. Could not have done it much better IMO. Glad I got the 4 pack. 4.33

Now onto a smoked porter at Quarter Celtic.

 

Connecticut Valley Star Gazer. Excellent NEDIPA. Very murky, great head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 8.1%. Awesome Galaxy, Vic Secret profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Impressive, no complaints. 4
