Just got my first bottle of Aloha Friday... HOLY CRAP THIS IS BETTER THAN GREY MONDAY!!!!

The coconut and macadamia nuts mellow out the booze and add a decadent flavor. Might be my favorite "Day of the Week"

What are you all drinking tonight?

Glad to hear it was great. Aloha and Sundae have been the two weekday bottles that have given me FOMO from being lowly RS. & that’s even considering I still have way too many week day bottles already stashed away.

A couple nights ago I had a fridge stored since release Cuir. Let me tell you, that thing was crystal clear and just incredible.

Had my last can of Wee Heavy Coconuts last night and it was phenomenal. Hope they brew it again.

Real question: how does refrigeration add to clarity? Prevents new yeast growth? Or encourages sediment to remain settled?

But I thought Hazy beers were all the rage. The Bruery even broke their rule to just make Hazys.

The idea of irrelevance and going under is a much worse prospect than violating your personal belief system.

Low temps just encourage yeast flocculation and help sediment, proteins, etc drop/settle out.

Throw the haziest of hazies in a 34 degree fridge and it will -eventually- become crystal clear.

I had a couple cans of TH stashed in the back of my fridge that were 2 months old. They poured clear(er) and I actually preferred it versus when they were fresh.

Just finished my PiaPT. I had fun tasting through the whole series over the last couple weeks, but I dunno, nothing really jumped out at me as amazing/ off the charts. I think I'd appreciate (if/when) doing reg + BA the same night and comparing + contrasting that way more than just having these one by one in a vacuum. I think 5 Golden was my favorite, and coincidentally was the first one that I got the try fresh, in VA as a relative noob some years ago .

Belgian clean style Beers are very quirky to me, I have so much respect for Abt12, Orval, Rochefort 10... but when I have American versions that are every bit as good, but I haven't had over and over like I have with the classics, there's a sentimentality missing or something where I wish I just had THE classic quad, not this riff or version that nods to it. Not a dig on The Bruery at all, it's just another commendation for the magic that is in the Belgian Classics.

I do tip my hat to the Bruery for the price point, packaging (the surprise when you opened it, I had had a long week and that REALLY cracked me up for some reason) and the half bottles... all made this a great value and package experience. Cheers.

Very pleasantly surprised to see some Wee Heavy Coconuts in the Archive Sale in the email today. Like @stealth mentioned, great beer, hoping to see more of it in the future.

People can finally get their 750s of Wee Heavy lol. Sure is a lot of grand reserve left it seems which is nice.

Anyone going to Juicy Brews on Saturday? I'm not the biggest IPA guy so I'm open to suggestions if anyone has seen the taplist

The guys I split my membership with were super excited to take a day off of work and go to DC for this event.

When I shared these details with them they laughed and asked me for the “real details” or what else I left out. I guess we got spoiled by the BT 10th anniversary party and were expecting something of similar caliber.

I would love to go to an east coast anniversary party if they had one in similar fashion to what the BT party was like.

But as for this event tomorrow, its an easy pass for all of us.

Am I reading it correctly that it's... $75 for a 16 oz growler fill, an Offshoot beer, one fight, and some snacks?

Anyone find it odd that the 2019 weekday beers that were 40 last year are listed with the price update for this year? werent they 40 last year and now 42?
