Yea echoing that I’ve had two Levante brews via Tavour and both were excellent. Wish I saw more of their stuff come across the app to purchase

Nice, that is good to know in regards to price. When I saw the price tag I assumed that Tavour was really marking it up, but I'm glad to hear that isn't necessarily the case. I don't think I can find any Superstition near me, but Schramm's is definitely available within an hour drive. Next time I make it across the border into Ohio I may have to pick up a bottle and try it out.

Unrelated to Mead, I was excited to see Westbrook's Gates of S'mordor on Tavour last night for $11.99/bomber. I opened up a new crate to buy one as I can't find Westbrook anywhere around here. I'm glad I acted when I did, it was "waitlisted" by this morning in my market.

Schramm's also ships directly themselves. Not sure if its too all states, but they ship to my state (NC). Superstition has come through town near me and I'm pretty sure that I paid more in the store after tax than Tavour has it for. So yeah, decent prices over all on Tavour. Haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet, but the pricing makes me feel better about it if/when I do.

If you like adjunct/sweet stouts, that Gates of S'mordor was pretty solid. I believe Westbrook 9th Anniversary was on Tavour as well, if you see that I'd suggest buying everything you can get your hands on (within reason obviously). One of the better non-barrel stouts I've had from them.

That's good to know about Schramm's. I'll have to look into that, but I try not to get too optimistic with PA's ridiculous liquor laws.

I have to say, I only dabble in the sweet stouts, but Westbrook has enough of a reputation that I had to pull the trigger. I usually prefer my big stouts to be barrel-aged to help balance out the sweeter varieties. That said I've heard how quickly the Westbrook barrel-aged stouts disappear, and don't expect to be securing one of those very soon. I'll definitely be looking out for more of their stuff on Tavour.

I like Tavour. The local courier company they use in my area is a different story. I’ve had nothing but delays and confusion where my shipment is at any given time. It’s so bad, I’m actually thinking about not ordering again, ever, unless they switch courier. More beer for someone else.

IMHO, drink that bad boy like it’s your daily brew. You only live once!

Tavour is great. They have a nicely curated selection and don’t have high markups and shipping is affordable as long as you’re getting several bottles/cans. Shipping can be a pain because you have to be home to sign for it though. The only issue I’ve had with them is that I was spending way too much money. I really enjoyed being able to get some Chicago beers I’ve been missing since moving to the PNW.

I was looking into it today and learning that in my area (Greensboro, NC) they only ship to business addresses - which is unfortunate for me since I'm a stay-at-home Dad and my wife travels constantly to client sites for her work.

Trying to determine if I can ship it to a friend/family business address (if the owner is cool with it).

Even being as close as I am to Westbrook (next state over, though its probably 4 hours drive), the barrel aged stuff is pretty tough to get. I feel like it doesn't hit distro very much (if at all?) so getting it requires driving down or finding a friend to drive down. Sticking with the non-BA stuff you can get in distro/through Tavour is probably a pretty good starting point

I'm in a similar boat (quite possibly the same courier even) and its been one reason why I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I have a friend of mine that does Tavour as well that I can ship to if need be, but don't really want to bother with it. I've not sure what it takes to consider your address as a business. Any idea where they get that information from? If its from USPS, then it'll be tough to change. If its from a checkbox somewhere or something, then it might not be that difficult maybe?

It comes from a database that is maintained (from I what I see online) by the USPS so probably little luck in getting it changed. I think that anything that is not indicated as completely commercial is residential (even if you are running a business from it).

After a couple weeks of delays, they’ve stopped service to North Carolina and South Carolina. From an email I just received:

Shipping beer by a commercial entity has been on the decline for quite a few years now. Yet wine flourishes.

Fortunately, Travour doesn't have Wyoming listed so I don't have to worry aboot it shutting the state down.

I just got the app today and added a couple good looking stouts to my cart. My question is, has anyone ever seen anything on Tavour from The Alchemist? Their Luscious is fantastic, and I only have 1 left (got a 4-pack in Vermont while on vacation and I need more - without driving 16 hours to get it)
