Blasphemy! How dare you bring rational logic to the conversation. :smirk:

I do enjoy Hopslam during Superbowl Sunday, has become a tradition of sorts ever since the Eagles run years ago. Once the games on I really don't want to think about what I'm drinking or miss the advertising and Hopslam just flows.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m with you that it is an expensive price in general.

Bell's is always pricey, particularly with special releases. Consecrator is always $19.99 around me and it is impossible to justify that with easy access to Troegenator so it collects a lot of dust here.

Two Hearted dropped in price a few years ago and at least that's very competitive now.

In NJ, their regular stuff like two hearted is priced at the $9-11range, which is reasonable for sure but you’re right, some of the other stuff gets up to the $20 range, which always makes me hesitant.

I agree, Bells Expedition Imperial Stout retails for $17.99. It's an excellent beer. Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout is an even better one and sells for $11.99.

Man, I revisited black chocolate stout for the first time in probably 6-7 years and holy crap. How did people swoon and line up for stouts when something like that is available, perfection.

to keep it semi in Bells topic, I cannot wait for light hearted to make it to NJ.

Had both Torque Wrench and Hopslam last night. Both extremely fresh, and it’s funny how things have changed in the IPA world. I enjoyed both, but well done NE IPAs have so much more hop flavor bursting out of them. I’ll still enjoy those “old school” change of pace IPAs every so often.

Can never find two hearted fresh enough anymore. It's about 3 months old most of the time I check it out and on a dry shelf on top of that. But Damn it's a great beer when fresh. Hate that we have access to it but at the same time we don't cause its usually to old.

Yep, I have been saying this for a while now and with the old-school more bitter IPAs you lose some of the hop flavor under all of that which can appear when the IBUs are dropped. Of course the types of hops used make a difference as well but I can pick up more when bitterness isn't at the forefront.
