My porch took a beating today at the hands of a couple of newbs....

    First up @Greeny87

Andrew , you had me for a minute with the return address labeled as @Satch44 . However , upon closer inspection a previous shipping label underneath the current one sold you out .

Thank you for the generous box! Unfortunately one soldier had fallen due to some rough transit no doubt . You’ve hit some very interesting ticks and some big wants.

Enough with the rambling , here is the **** ....

Cheers and thank you again !

The second box today was provided by @MTKATL.

Michael, this box is amazing as well! Mexican Cake is one of my favorite stouts. The few BA ones that I’ve had have all been excellent . And nice touch with bottle of rye ! So thank you very much ! I’ll be digging in as soon as I get through the blind beers. Thank you again and cheers !

@Dragginballs76 decided to hit me with a great box today. Shockingly, the only item remotely penis related is an actual jar of nuts. Which, by the way, sound great.

Barrel Culture Fluff Jam. 6.5% Mixed Fermentation Sour Ale. A blend of three different barrel aged golden sour. Rested on black currants, raspberries and cherries. After refermenting racked onto fresh vanilla beans and marshmallows.

Edmund’s Oast. Order of Magnitude. 7.5% Imperial Sour Ale. Brewed with Lactose and Sea Salt, with passionfruit, mango and guava added.

The Veil Brewing Co. Never never again again. 5.1% Double Raspberry Gose Ale.

Charlestown Fermentory. Telstar. 8% DIPA. Brewed with Wakatu, Wai-iti, and Mosic. Sounds like a killer hop combo!

Charlestown Fermentory. Berry Berry Berry. 5% Triple Fruited Sour Ale. Brewed with blueberries, blackberries and plums.

Goose Island Proprietor’s BCBS. 2017. 14% Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels with bananas, roasted almonds, and cassia bark added.

Gillespie’s Peanuts. Spicy Sriracha and Sea Salt.

Mike, everything here sounds awesome. I’ve never had anything from Barrel Culture. I’ve had a handful of other Edmund’s Oast fruited sours and they’ve all been great. Two new Charlestown beers, a new Veil beer (a rare treat), and last, but certainly not least, my first Prop BCBS. Super special, man. Thank you very much!

Man, my list just keeps growing.

Dark pour, lots of head (who loves lots of head??), roasted coffee and spices on the nose.
After first few sips, I was thinking Mexican chocolate or a subtle pepper stout.

    The reveal

Fire Eater by Foam: imp milk stout w molasses, cacao, caramelized sugar, smoked vanilla, and cinnamon. Thank you for this @timmy2b

Surprise fire taken from @Vidblain today in his turncoat role as a Newbie. Some pretty intriguing stuff here, especially that watermelon sour. I'm always really interested in beers that dare to use that fruit as it's pretty hard to capture the flavor well! Thanks so much, Chris!

So, I knew a box was coming but had no idea from who until I saw the call sign on the form letter. Awesome box dropped on my door step today and I can't wait to dig in!

@Satch44 revealed himself as the culprit! Thanks a lot man...I can only read the date on one of the IPAs so I guess I just need to drink them ASAP huh? Lol

Time to put another unknowing victim on the list. :stuck_out_tongue:

Late post of @azuelke's blind beer:

Tasted like a big imperial stout with rich dark chocolate flavor. There was a subtle fruitiness on the finish which threw me a little, but overall it seemed like an Imp Stout brewed with cacao nibs or chocolate.

Big Hugs from Wiseacre. I totally whiffed on the coffee, but it was clearly there as I finished the drink. Very tasty. Thanks again, Adam!

I meant to include Vanilla Benthic, not the regular, so I may have made a mistake. Either way, enjoy!
