I see that the glasses go on sale at 10, and that the zwanze is tapped at 2, just curious what time people plan to line up? I'm still kinda new to the chicago beer scene but am feeling like showing up around 10 would simply get me laughed at and sent home.

i'll show up at 10 to buy mine, but only because i'm within a 5 minute drive and i can easily go back home, grab some food, and take public transit back over when taps start at noon.

Ive been told there are about 500 2oz pours, so 500 tickets. Last year 200 people showed up? I don't imagine theres any reason to be there early at all.

I should say this is not confirmed so if anyone can do so that would be great

there was 200 there last year, it felt like 50 people. I just hope those two weird guys in Ohio Buckeyes gear that gave me and my wife the creeps are back. Hell i think they started a fight with someone too if i remember. They invited us (and they probably meant her) back to their boat to party and I'm pretty sure we were going to be in for some illinois chainsaw massacre or something.

    1. If you go early, plan on going home and coming back at noon or be the weird dude hanging out at WLV for 2 hours.
    2. If you go early, open containers are illegal in Chicago and we don't want to give WLV any trouble for hosting this awesome event.
    3. Going early wasn't even in the least bit necessary last year. My girlfriend showed up at like 1:30pm and had no problem getting a Zwanze pour.

Am I correct in understanding that the only way to get a Zwanze pour is to buy the $40 glass?

Hate to break it to you, but nearly 400 people lined up early last weekend just for a raffle ticket. I was one of them.

That was free and for bottles...I think there's a big difference there. I'll be there around 10am or so to help with the line and such. See you all then!

Can't someone please post some meme's and pictures and MS paint avatars in the thread so it will be deleted before we all ruin this event too?

There are always more people at events where they would be walking away with an actual bottle. People like to possess things. I would be surprised if there were more than 300 people this year. Plus, It's cold now, not like last year in September. Which brings up a good point. Dress warm people because this will be in the back yard.

I hope for your sakes you're right. I was merely commenting because I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how many people lined up for a fucking raffle. Glad I didn't get there until about 20 minutes before they opened, lol.
